that measure 1.2 and greater (three of them measured 1.8 and three of them measured 1.3)
I'm just curious as to what your RE has ever told you about follicle
I'm never sure about how folicles are being measured whether is 1.2, 1.3 or whether ist 12, 18. Either way I was on my first Injections cycle and have doctor's check-up ever few days. When I had few folicles at 12 my RE told me to start OPTs, she said it's not uncommon to ovulate with that size. Because I did not ovulate on my own, she waited untill I had folicles sizes 15-19 and told me to take Ovidrel to induce ovulation.
I read an article that for IVF optimal size is 20, not sure if it's true or not.
My RE likes to see them at 18-20+ mm. It is my understanding that they have to be that big to be considered "mature". The immature ones will release when you ovulate, but they won't be able to fertilize. I'm not 100% sure I'm right about this, though. Maybe someone else will know.
Thanks for your comments. I was under the assumption as you sarge...(that they wouldn't be able to fertilize unless they were mature). But my RE said that she has seen a pregnancy come from smaller follicles
