Has anyone gotten pregnant on first IUI attempt?

My husband (34) and I (29) have been ttc for 8 years. We were told 6 years ago that my husbands sperm count was very low (1 million). We have decided to try IUI, on 01/21 we met with the doctor and went over our options. We decided to start Clomid 50mg from day 3 of my cycle through day 7. My dr did an ultrasound on day 11 of my cycle and it showed 3 follicles in the right ovary the largest measuring 14mm and the others were much smaller, the left ovary showed 3 follices also with the largest follicle being 11mm. The doctor did say the 11mm follicle will probably not mature in time. I also took 1CC injection of Pregnyl last night between 9 & 10PM. My husband gave me the shot and it really didn't hurt at all. Today I have felt really anxious for the IUI that is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9am.
Good luck to each of you that are TTC!

The earliest I can test is the 15th. It's going to be a very long 2 weeks for me. When you say injectables is this something other than the HCG injection? My doctor did mention injections but that was with IVF. I'm hoping that we won't have to go that route.
Have you also done an IUI? If so did you also do the Clomid and HCG injection? I am so curious as to how successful this has been for others.
Thank you so much for chatting with me, it really does help to talk to someone that is going through this.
Thanks Again!!

Wow, that's great news!! The sperm count Is good, so hopefully it all works quickly. I know that if you end up needing to try any other iui, that switching to injectables will increase your odds to 25%, but we will cross our fingers, that you don't have to get any more aggressive and this cycle will be a sucess!! I can't wait to hear how it turns out. When do you find out?

Thank you so much for letting me know how things have gone for you. I went this AM and we were told that is count is actually normal. The doctor is telling us that we have a 12% chance of becoming pregnant. I was told to go have my Progestrone Levels checked in a week. I am wishing you all the luck in the world and please let me know how things go. BB2U!

Hi there, I know how anxouse you are feeling! I was that way with my first 4 iui.
I had the first two with clomid, then the last three with gonal f.
My husband has a similar issue, and I had an hsg to make sure everything is clear.
My hsg was great! Now we are waiting for results of our 5 th iui. I'm not sure how I feel about iui. I know it's a major emotional roller coaster ride. I have Been  gaining weight like crazy too!!
Good luck, stay positive and try to relax!!
Try to let the experience bring the two of you closer. I find it nice to be able to talk to other people who have Been through similar situations.
Hope your 1st iui is a success.
