Has anyone had a 2nd HCG shot during IVF protocol?

Hi Ladies,

As some of you doing I am still trying for my 1st Baby. We are doing IVF & will have transfer tomorrow (tuesday).
For this protocol, I will be taking a 2nd HCG shot which I have never had before.  It will be given the day after transfer & am told it will help with progesterone/estrogen levels.  I will also be taking PIO & inserts.  WOW, it seems like alot of stuff.
I am also going to have to give myself the daily injections of PIO because DH is going to Calgary on business.  He is then staying a few days longer to visit family.  How am I going to give myself that big Horse needle?  I am thinking I will have to go to my Dr office EVERYDAY!! Any tips, suggestions??

I got a 2nd shot on the day of transfer, the nurse did ot before I went home. I do pieo IM every other , promethium supp 3xd and estridol 2xd

yes i did take and hcg shot one week after the transfer

thats tough to give yourself a shot...never heard of the second HCG, is this a new protocol?
