Hello, Well I am going to give you my situaion and try to help as much as possible. My hubby and I have been TTC as I to have irregular cycles. So We went to the dr I had a routie physical performed. She did a prego test just as a precaution to be sure that I was not prego because I am irregular and was 5 months late. So since the test came back negative she prescribed me a durg called provera. this is used to bring on mensration. It worked and after taking this pill for 10 days i got my cycle 5 days later. So i bought an ovulation kit.The directions stated to start testing on day 6 of cycle but I did not have the test then.Test used Clear Blu Easy Ovulation Perdictor Kit. So I started testing on day 7 of cycle. I detected ovulation on day 15 & 16 these were my two fertile days. So now I have to wait and test on the 14 day of my cyce which is actually the 20 of this month hope this helps. Because of your age you still being very young they may not consider you being infertile and may not prescribe you any meds but I would have a OPK handy for when you do have a cycle and you can start testing for ovulation. Good luck sweetie and make sure that this is really something that you and your boyfriend want,

Hello,
You can test 1 week- 10 days after you miss your periods or you can test for pregnancy by a highly sensitive pregnancy test 10 days post ovulation with a sensitive ( 20 - 25 mIU ) pregnancy test.. Also I would suggest you to get your serum HCG levels estimated since this is more specific than urine for pregnancy tests. The HCG (it is a hormone) levels rise only in pregnancy and its presence will confirm the status of your pregnancy.

If pregnancy is ruled out, then other causes of delayed periods need to be looked into. So my suggestion would be to consult a gynecologist and get serum HCG levels done.

I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
