Heartbeat but no fetal pole?

I had my first ultrasound today and am feeling rather overwhelmed. I am 6 weeks 1 day pregnant. The RE found two sacs. One had a healthy heartbeat of 113 and a measurement of 4.6mm. She couldn't find the fetal pole in the the other sac. However, after prodding the sac for a time, she was able to find the second heart beat. She seemed concerned and told me to not get my hopes up for Baby B. It's heartbeat was 100 exactly. Any thoughts on this? Has anyone experienced anything similar? I don't know what to think. I am going in next Wednesday for the follow-up ultrasound.

Awww :) another medhelp miracle!!! Congrats on your b/g twins...they are so much fun!!!!!  Tiring, but fun!!!!

Ha. I just read this...my little bubba now weighs over 7 pounds and will be born this weekend. She weighs more than her brother. Her heartrate is solid. I am in love with my little Baby B [and Baby A too:)]

Oh hun, maybe its just too early for second bubba. Possibly emplanted later than the first. ALways keep strong till the doctor confirms
