Hello.
I am a 23 year old sexually active woman. I last had my period in August 2010, and have not had it since. I have had in the past irregular periods and went on the pill ( yasmin) but went off it after a month after bleeding every day for a month, being severely constipated and depressed
For the past four months now I have been getting extremely bloated every time i eat, i am constipated, upper back pain, pain in the lest side of my stomach.
On top of this i have a mild case of PCO, but, with bad several bad experiences with the pill, Yasmin and other, i don't want to go back on the pill.
I have taken numerous pregnancy tests but they all come back negative. I have an appointment with my Doctor on Monday, but , when i went two month ago they just suggested i start taking a different pill.
Does any one have any suggestion as to what all these issues might be related to? It seems that with Doctors on the nhs, the only way they respond to a patient is if you say: this is what i think is wrong, can you help me this way, otherwise they just simply suggest the pill and that is it without addressing all the issues.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Isabella
Ask them to do blood work and check all your homone levels. Some people don't do well on BC pills. I have PCOS and never have a period on my own. Ask for Provera if you haven't had a period in a while. It will force your body to start and help flush you out!
I just started taking Metformin to help with PCOS symptoms!
Can you Get a new doc if you are not happy with yours?
