i got them starting in my second trimester. Mine don't really bleed much, but I can see them. you may have fissures (sp?) also.
I use the tucks pads to keep the area as clean as possbile. I even keep some in a zip lock in my purse for when i'm away from home. I soak in really hot baths. Just not too deep so your body core temp doesn't go up too much. I also eat raisin brand daily and old fashion oat meal (not instant) one or more times a week. So far it is all working pretty good. I still have one hemorrhoid but it isn't getting worse and I think this last one is about to go away. Good luck to you.
My doctor gave me a supply of pre-natal vitamins (PrimaCare One..www.primacareone.com) that help's soften the stool, but also add more fiber to your diet such as fruits, veggies, and whole grains. :-) I'm 9 wks and the vitamins really help!!
I got hemorrhoids with my first pregnancy 5 years ago and still have them. I think I got it later in my pregnancy though...maybe 6 months or so. I know that it doesn't take a pregnancy to cause them though. Any straining while having a bowel movement can do it.
