High Level of FSH

I am 29 y.o., i had cyst on both ovaries, undergone a laparoscopic surgery last april 21, 2009. Now it's almost a year after the operation, i'm still trying to conceived. Lately, i found out that my FSH level was very high, 40.22 mIu/mL. is there a way to decrease this level? and can i still get pregnant? i feel sad, depressed and hopeless...

Did your doctor tell you that you were going through early menopause or premature ovarian failure?

Well, they can decrease it with medication, but that still doesn't change the fact that your FSH is high.  Has your doctor done an ultrasound to measure/count your antral follicles?  If you still have a good number of antral follicles, they may be able to stimulate your follicles and you can do IVF.  I just know that a high FSH isn't really a good sign (fertility wise).  Sorry.  Maybe others on here will chime in.  But I'm sure that there will be a way to become pregnant (probably not naturally though).... just don't ever give up hope.

You definitely have to consult the doctor so they can give you something that will balance your hormones. Wishing you the best of luck and don't loose hope. Keep us posted :)
