High estrogen levels????

I was about to start my fourth month of clomid tonight but just got my blood test results back. The nurse told me that my estrogen levels are a bit too high and that I should NOT take my clomid this month. Today is my cd 5 and my estrogen level is 162.  Can anyone help me to understand what this means and why can I not do clomid this cycle? I am trying to conceive my first child and am very confused.

My doctor called and told me that even though the ultrasound could not see a cyst, a high estrogen level indicates that there is a cyst on my ovary. I am to get blood drawn next month and if the estrogen goes down, I can continue w/ fertility drugs. If not, I need to go back on birth control until my estrogen lowers. THis is all I know for now. Thanks for the relpy, feather2e

I am not sure about day 5 but on day 3 your levels should be lower than 80, you should call your doctor and ask them why it is so high.
