Home Pregnancy Tests

I had a 5 day embryo transfer and have a blood pregnancy test tomorrow. I took a home pregnancy test this morning and it was negative. It is 10 days post embryo transfer and I am disappointed. Should I expect positive results at my blood test tomorrow or should I just throw in the towel? Any thoughts?

Well ladies, it is a negative result. I suppose everything happens for a reason and we will never understand the reason why they do or don't. The nurses tell me I can keep trying. My insurance will cover 2 more cycles but I am 41 and not sure. I will try and keep a positive attitude.

Thank you all for you comments. Today is the day and although I have tried to prepare myself for bad news it is still a little hard and disappointing especially since everything seemed to be going ok. I am almost 41 and this is my last attempt.
Thank you ladies very much. Wish me luck!

Be prepared (if that's possible) for negative BUT stay hopeful for positive. I know how hard this is....  i'm sorry

It's never happened to me, but yes, it IS possible that the HPT has not detected enough of your hcg hormone yet. After each of my IUIs I got my period exactly the morning of the results or 2 days earlier, and a negative test, so that was usually a clear sign that it was accurate :( Best of luck!

Don't be dissapointed yet until you have the results of the beta. I had the same at my last IVF, i did a test the same day as the beta and i had a negative result, but the test was positive. It hapens. Good luck
