Someone on Medhelp told me to take Wheat Germ Oil which comes in pill form. She said that once she started taking it, her progesterone level on cd21 was 40 or 50. I got pregnant while using it but it may have nothing to do with that. I was not taking it for long before I got pregnant so I can't really say that it gave me a higher progesterone level. But I plan to use it in my upcoming IVF cycle. Good luck!
Hi HBLolly! There are progesterone creams out there, but they're not as effective as a prescription supplement. But either way, it doesn't sound like low progesterone is the main issue here. The real problem is that you don't ovulate.
Basically, progesterone is produced every month after the egg is released (ovulation), but if the egg is not released, your body won't produce progesterone and your levels will be low.
So what you probably need is something to help you ovulate, and then that will automatically increase your progesterone as well. I would suggest seeing your doctor, or even a specialist. They can help you find out why you are not ovulating and maybe start you off on something like clomid, which is just a pill you take for five days in the beginning of your cycle.
Best of luck to you!
