How Do I count with early spotting

I have been spotting for about 4 months now and it is always a week before my period. This month the second day of spotting was dark red and it made me think it was my actual period. So when i try to count in order to find the correct ovalation days Do i begin with the spotting day that was heavier than usual because it is gone now but might be back by morning. Or Do i start counting from the day my period actually begins its regular flow????????????Now I can't tell if my cycle is 21 days or 25. Last month my actual period began on Jan 13th but the spotting began on the 7th. This month I was expecting my actual period on  Feb 7th or 9th but today the 3rd it came but not consistantly. So how doi figure out when I am fertlie??????

Start with the full flow of blood. Always count the first day of flow as day one only starting in the morning. For examp. If you get your flowing in the afternoon count the next day as day one.

I would always spot around a week before my period too. I would go with the full flow day and start there. Also, use OPK's.
