How faint are the "Faint Lines" on a HPT?

I just took one and I can't tell if my imagination is playing tricks on me.  This faint line is so questionable.  How faint can they be?  

I cracked open the HPT stick and held the testing part to the light and i can still see where the line would appear if it were to show up.  

I o'd on 1/20/07...so today is 11DPO right????  or is the day of ovulation counted??? Help!

if the line is pink(or blue, depending on the test) and it appeared within a minute or two then consider it a positive. If it showed up in 5 minutes, maybe a positive. if more than 5 minutes, test again tomorrow.

If you had to dis-assemble the test to see the line then I wouldn't count on it being reliable. PP is right...test again with FMU maybe even with a digital. That will give you the best answer! Good luck!

Dpo is days PAST ovulation.  I would take another test Thurs. morning using FMU.

It sounds like and evap line.  I would definitely re-test tomorrow with FMU.  Good luck!

Well since the packet I bought contained 3 HPTs...I took the 2nd one and got another faint line ( I didn't break this one open).   It's a wee bit darker than the one I took earlier.  However, I can see something.  Are evap lines a fluke or do they happen regularly in a certain brand???

I've used this brand before (last week) and I didn't see anything like I'm seeing now.  I'm tripping out.   Guess I will just try again in the morning tomorrow.  

Or maybe my head is just playing tricks on me!!!  CRAZY!! Wish me luck!

I saw the line before I took the test apart.  I was just trying to get a better look at it.  However, I pretty sure that what I am looking at was an evap line.
