How long does Provera take?

My cycles have always been irrgular, I miscarried twice last year"06". Quit BC 12/05,  My Dr. has now decided I should take Provera 10 mg for 7 days (4/8 - 4/14) which I did and wait for AF.  Tomorrow will have been 14 days since my last Provera pill and still no AF.  I am stressing now over this because I want AF to come (for the 1st time) so I can take Clomid to help O.

Anybody out there that has had 14 days or more to wait for Provera to jump start your cycle?  My last regular cycle was CD March 28th. So if I had not taken Provera to help jump start I would be on CD38 right now (which is a longer cycle for me, but again I am not regular) I wonder if the Provera has made my cycle longer?  I am have had for the last week or more Moody, sore boobs and little twinges in both ovaries.  My ovaries fill a bit sore from time to time.

Any Advise? Thanks!

Hi

I know you left these messages a year ago- just wondering if you had any luck? I am in a similar position as finished provera 11 days ago and had a half day period but nothing else.I was told not to start clomid until 2nd day of period but this hasn't happened... can anyone offer any advice? Am I panicing too soon?

Great - hopefully I will have the same luck as you.  I am cramping some today, so maybe it is on the way.  I will start my clomid on CD 3.  Thanks for the help.

Got AF 18 days after last Provera pill (5 pills).  Yeah, that was a LOOOong wait!  Clomid made me O both times though, so never have to have PRovera again hopefully!

I have a question related to this topic.  I started taking provera on August 23rd.  Everything I have heard and read says that AF should come around 3-7 days after last dose of provera is taken.  Today is the 9th day later... any thoughts?  Should I be concerned yet?

Now I can start me Clomid this week then start the BD....

This will be my first round of Clomid, I am kind of scared, but excited at the same time.  It would be a mircle of it works the 1st time around.!!!

I also took provera.  I am now 6 1/2 weeks.  I started Provera on Feb 1, 07 and AF didn't come til Feb 17, 07 (17 days).  If you are having sore BBs, it may be that AF is around the corner.  I hope you get your AF soon so you can start your 1st round of clomid.  Just know that clomid too has some side affects, so be ready.

Good luck and sticky baby dust to you!
