I had a reversal in June of 06. It has worked for me twice, however both ended in MC. I don't know if the reversal has anything to do with that or not. My Dr. says no, but who knows. But at least I know it can work and my tubes must be clear. They did do a dye test during the surgery and all was fine. But during the healing process I know they can heal wrong. Once I started using the OPK's is when I got PG. So I think they help. Good Luck!!
Wow I fully understand your concern. I had a reverse tubaligation May 2003 I am 39 years old with 2 children and I too married a wonderful man who has no kids. We have been trying with 4 IUI's no success and 1 failed IVF. I also have fibroids and 1 blocked tube so hopefully you're situation is better than mine.
You can get pregnant and if trying naturally is not working then would you consider starting with IUI?
I only wish I had gone straight to IVF if I knew I had all those complications before. It's cost me so much money and I feel so saddnned and discouraged so I turn to this forum and it gives me hope.
Please don't give up either there is hope.I had the test where they did the dye and my tubes were open and a year later 1 closed. Just be persistence with testing and depending on your age don't be like me don't wait for so long to try more aggressive methods. I feel desperate now bwcause I will be 40 soon and feel like I'm running out of time. Please let m,e know if you have any more questions.
Emergency!!! I have a friend that just had the tubal reversal at Thanksgiving and it is now 12/20...and is now in pain and just found out that she has some sort of cyst or blockage in one tube and a cyst in one ovary....???? Can the reversal surgery cause cysts. I am worried she has cancer...Didn't you all have to have a clear PAP before you had the surgery anyway? Does anyone know how long it takes for a cancerous cyst to grow and show it's ugly existence?
