I am my Doctor's stalker :) (

Does anyone else feel like they bug the heck out of the staff at their doctor's office???  I feel like I am calling with a question or concern every day!  The latest was that I decided to take the advice of my wise MedHelp friends and ask for Clomid for my IUI this month.  From what I have read, you have a much higher change of conception on Clomid.  So, I called bugging them about that and I start it today.  The only thing I'm worried about now is the OPK because I've gotten false + with them on Clomid before. The Dr thinks that I was just testing too early and that you need to wait until CD12 to start testing, and that that was what the problem probably was in the past.  Just out of curiousity, what have you ladies experienced with IUIs in general and with Clomid and OPK's???  (The reason I am getting an IUI is that they discovered my mucus is bad - killing sperm b/c it's too thick, but everything else looks good.)

I took clomid cd 5-9 and today is cd 13, yesterday I got a pos on answer brand but a neg on dollar store brand. I will redo it today, but my temps indicate that today I ovulated (or will) I also had an  u/s done yesterday which showed I was ready to O, so my guess is test days 12-16 for O to be safe. :)

Jen,  I didn't do well with the OPK either, so I asked for the hCG trigger shot and that solved it all!!!  so, make sure you tell them that you are getting neg's or false pos., whatever and that way you will not miss your O day!!!  That is what I did...you will O 36 hours after the shot..pretty much a guarntee!!!  Good luck with this and I also stalk my Dr.... They all know me by name!!! It's interesting to see all the nurses in the hallway to say hello to me!!! I have seen them all!!!  Have a great SAT!!!  Jacquie

You should O about 48 hours after HCG, so you should start bding on day of  HCG shot and at least again 36-48 hours after shot.  So for instance, if you had your shot today, then BD tonight and again on Monday AM or every day until Tuesday.

Jen - you could also talk to your doctor about estrogen supps the day after clomid ends.  This helps to change your cm as well as helps build up the uterine lining.  Then 2D after O, start progesterone supps to continue supporting the uterine lining.  Progesterone is continued until AF or 10 wks into pregnancy if pregnant.  Just a few more things to bug your doctor about.... :)

My RE says that he gives the HCG injection the day of IUI.  I don't think I'll get the estrogen because it doesn't matter what my CM is like b/c the IUI bypasses the CM.
