I don't O

I have just discovered I do not ovulate (test kits tell me this). I am 35 and have been married for three years and four months. During this time, my husband and I have never used birth control but haven't really been trying to get pregnant specifically. I have been a bit worried for a while, though regular periods made me think I was ovulating. I decided to check and I am not. I feel very depressed by this turn of events, I must admit. I know I have a hypothyroid but am otherwise healthy.

yes, good to see a doc to check everything out.

you may not be getting pregnant simply by intercourse that was not timed properly..
Too much sex..

So, many reason, so yeah, god idea to see the doc!  Good Luck :)

Even if I am ovulating, I am not getting pregnant, so I need to see a doctor. I see him a week from tomorrow, and I am extremely nervous!

Start tracking your temps every morning.. Your temps will confirm is ovulation took place or not.
Also, sometimes women have a month they do not ovulate, doesn't mean they never ovulate.
The OPK tests .. Do you test twice a day? Sometimes you can miss the surge.. If your surge is short.

I was not in a position to think about children before age 30, so waiting is not something I can regret. I may in fact ovulate- the doctor will tell me for sure- but regular periods without ovulating are not uncommon according to my research. I have some occasional minor breast soreness, but really not much and I used to get much more pronounced soreness. I don't feel any noticeable hormone changes. Whatever the problem is, I hope it can be easily determined and fixed! Thanks.

Also, at 35, you are unfortunately on the downhill slope for fertility--get yourself to a doc STAT and get to the bottom of this! I don't say this to be mean, I'm simply speaking from a biological stand point. Women's fertility starts to decrease around age 30. I have been trying for 2 years (I don't O--doc confirmed), and I'm only 26. I'd be kicking myself if I'd waited till after 30!

Dont assume you don't ovulate just because you don't see positive opks! Lots of women miss their surges because of how short it is. Regular cycles is a VERY good sign that you are indeed ovulating. If you are worried, see a doctor--blood hormone tests and ultrasound are much more reliable for diagnosis than opks!  That being said, do you feel hormonal changes throughout your cycle? Acne, breast tenderness, fatigue, bloating, irritability?

My question is very general, thus I forgot to include it! I would love to hear any advice or thoughts from people familiar with my situation. Can anyone share their wisdom? Mostly, I am just in need of some support and this group seems great for that. Thanks!
