I have polycystic ovaries

Hello, my name is Lauren, i am 16 years old and i have never had a period. Recently i had an ultrasound scan and it showed me that I have polycystic ovaries. But then as he continued with my scan, he could not find my womb, he said this could be where it is so small, so now i have to have keyhole surgery to confirm if i have a womb or not. I need to know, that say if i do not have a womb, will i still ever be able to have babies, would i have to use ivf? i'm so worried. I am also an identical twin, so my sister said to me if u do not have a womb, i will carry a baby for you. But will they ever be able to use my ovaries as they are not working properly. Also, am i at greater risk of health problems when i am older ? please help me, im so worried, thankyou.

You need to go see a specialist to answer these questions for you.  There are many people with Polycystic ovaries that go on to have successful pregnancies and births, but each person is different.  Get to a fertility specialist (not just a regular GYNO - they wont do the trick).
