I think I may go against RE's advise ;-O

Hi Ladies;)
Ok, I'm feeling rebellious, irritated, tired, sad, done, & a tad bit ANGRY; & I am VERY tempted to just use a low dose of it for 6-7 nights ( that's how long I've used Gonal for) & see what happens!?!?!?!  IK IK IK that's not the smartest thing to do, BUT my body responds well to the meds, done it 4x's now in the past 7 months, but haven't gotten pregnant!  I've never had a cyst from it, & I had ovulation confirmed 48 hours post trigger this past cycle.
So, obviously I wouldn't trigger, (don't have the HCG) But I have O'd a follie last cycle before the trigger shot, & I have no problems ovulating, happens every month w/or w/out the trigger;)

So what do you guys think?  Am I CRAZY LOL???  I mean, when women produce too many folies & their cycle gets cancelled, they still O most of the follies, & everything is fine............

Anyone ever do this?  Or know someone who has?  I would only do a low amount, the last 2 cycles I was on 225IU's & produced 4 & 5 follies (only have one ovary) & the other 2 x's I was on 150IUI's & produced 2 & 3 follies.

Any input, & or insight would be GREATTTTTTTTTT;)
Thanks!

Hummm...didn't think of that before..just a little follie stim before the next cycle to get it going..I will have to think about that. I am a low responder..so how could it hurt really?

Oh I didn't see your post!  So you did?  Was it a lower dose?  Or the same your RE put you on before?

Well. it's my CD3 & I'm still not sure if I should go for it.  I need to go to bed soon, super tired, so I have to figure this out soon!
I think if I do go for it, I'll just do like 75IU's, big difference from 225IU's I was on the past 2 cycles.
BUT if I do, do it, then I will go in on CD9 or CD10 & get an US & maybe trigger, & see what happens!  I KNOW to some this may sound crazy, but I really don't think it's a big deal.  The worse that can happen is that I have a cyst that gets bigger, & I really doubt that I do, when I did my 2nd IUI all my follies were tiny.
I'm kinda surprised that nobody has said that they've done this!  Am I the only rebel??? LOL;)

If God forbits something goes wrong with all the "self-medicating" your hubbies will go CRAZY!!!! PLEASEEEEEEE....... whatever you do MUST be monitored by a DOCTOR!!!! at least you can sue a doctor but not yourself or ultimatelly your hubby....

I know this process can be overwhelming and I have felt rebellious at times, trust me but you don't want to explode your ovaries out of being angry/frustrated.... not worth it!!!

I did it with a cycle of menopur/femara I had left, went ahead and treated with no monitoring.  I didn't get pg, but nothing else happened either.

OMG. So I was just thinking the same thing today. My IVF does not start until CD21. And now I am on CD3. And I have 600 leftover of Follistim which will go bad in a week or two. And I was just going to give myself a little each night to see what I could do with just BD and a little follistim. Even with 300 Follistim and 3 vials of menopur for 10 days I did not overstim. I do not know if this is desperation of one year since a BFP; the impatience of wasting a cycle, or just the feeling that since I introduced HCG in my body, I have never conceived.

Thanks for your input;)  Well, honestly I'm just sorta DONE w/going in 5x's in an 8 day period!  Plus, he would have me do much higher doses of Gonal-F & it would cost me like $800.00 as opposed to nothing;)  "IF" I did go ahead & do this, I would go in for a CD2 or CD3 US just to make sure I have no cyst, but wouldn't "start" a cycle;)

IDK, the way I'm feeling this AM about it all is I am just tired of all this stuff.  It's very difficult because all 6 of the pregnancies I've had (3 kiddos) were literally first time tries.  Even last year @ 39 years old they were.......I just find it HARD to believe that all of the sudden overnight ALL my eggs went bad????  WEIRD.  I figure between trying naturally & w/the 4 cycles of Gonal-F, I have O'd at least 17 eggs.

Maybe they are all rotten now;(  IDK...............

I'll see how I'm feeling I guess when I'm on CD3, not sure;-/

Hi ita17,
So why are you thinking of doing this on your own? Does your RE think you should take a break this month?
Last month was my first month of clomid. Even tho I normally ovulate on my own, I needed a trigger to ovulate on clomid.  My RE said that sometimes the meds can suppress your normal LH surge, which is why they have to give the trigger shots. Even tho my lining was too thin and he said avoid ttc b/c of that, he had me trigger anyhow b/c O wasn't happening on its own and he said it's not good for the ovaries to have big follicles on there and not ovulate. That would be my main concern with doing it without monitoring from a Dr. Even if you have O'ed on your own before on the Gonal-F, what if it doesn't happen the same way next time? I would be careful about  something like that, esp if you only have 1 ovary. Don't want to risk anything with it, right?

WOW weird........  Somehow a part of my question was deleted!  So I have some left over Gonal-F in the fridge, not tons, but enough for a small amount for one cycle..........
