Hi... so sorry about your m/c. I'd agree with Tanker Chic-- once the embryo has implanted I'm not sure how much difference it makes. My RE said the minimum she likes to see for an IVF transfer is 8 so you were really close.
If it was the issue though, sometimes Femara (the Clomid alternative) produces a thicker lining while helping the follies develop -- Clomid actually thins it so ask questions if your Dr. wants to put you on it. I got a 12 for my IVF transfer by taking a crazy amount of estrogen but like TC said, it keep you from Oing...
Good luck & give a shout if you need anything.
Ok that makes me feel better. This lining issue could be fixed. I recently stopped taking birth controls pills and I think it caused my lining to thin.
thanks again
My RE always made a big deal about my lining being too thin. I conceived my son with a thin lining and IUI. I think it usually measured around 6 maybe 7 at the most. When I was ready to start trying for my second child, I went back to the RE. He was so focused on my lining he was messing up my cycles. He kept giving me estrogen to thicken my and the estrogen was keeping my follies from developing. After a couple of months of this, I told him enough was enough.. I had conceived my son with a thin lining and had no reason to think I wouldn't this time. I got pg two cycles later and am now 17wks. So it is my opinion that dr make way to big of a deal over the lining. It is like a new trend they are all hooked on.
After I stopped taking the estrogen to thicken my lining, the RE would still give me a shot of estrogen the same day as my trigger shot. By then the follies were developed so the estrogen didn't have the same negative effect as before.
best of luck
