ARE THERE ANY PROVEN TREATMENTS FOR SPERM MOTILITY PROBLEMS? MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONCEIVE FOR 1 YEAR. WE JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE MOTILITY OF HIS SPERM IS POOR AND, WE WERE REFERRED TO A UROLOGIST THAT SPECIALIZES IN INFERTILITY
I would say you still have a good chance as long as the count didn't come back 0 you should be fine and usually something can help. I would look up how to improve my sperm count on google you might be surprised on what foods and vitimins can help improve this problem. Another thing that may help is if you haven't been using them take vitimin b6, folic
acid and primrose oil yourself and use ovulation predictor kits (OPK). Another search you could do is trying to conceive just have a bit of a surf on anything to do with trying to conceive and you might find some answers yourself. Any way keep posting so we can all help some more everyone on this site is gr8 and all try and help where ever possible. GOOD LUCK!!!
My husband also has low sperm motility. He only has about 20% that are progressive, swimming straight, 68% non-progressive, basically swimming in circles, and the rest are immotile. What are your husband's "stats". I spoke to my doctor about this and she said it is definitely low but that it only takes 1 sperm to fertilize an egg, so chances are still okay. I'm going to another doctor on June 18th, so I'll get more answers there. I wonder what is the "normal" range for motility. Obviously there isn't anybody out there that is 100% progressive, but I'd love to hear any other stats. Keep me posted if yuo hear anything or try anything that works.
My husband had low motility and low count. We didn't find the urologist helpful, but then started with a reproductive endocrinologist who started him on a vitamin immediately. I just went upstairs to check the name, it's VITACON FORTE. My DH has had much success with just the vitamin alone, and it's a great wat to get him to take a vitamin!
You may want to ask the urologist about it. Good Luck.
