well hopefully i'll be in the same boat as you soon. I don't have any problems as well but I haven't been having a trigger shot so maybe that will be the trick for me.
Oh, please don't think I was upset by your comment at all. I really just want people to know that there is always hope, even after that long. My doctor kept saying that he didn't see the possible benefits of IUI for us since I didn't have any tube problems, and there were no sperm count issues, etc... So it really is a miracle for us for it to have worked. You never know what combination is going to work for each individual.
even if IUI doesn't have high success rates it is a lot cheaper than IVF and if that is your option for a baby I say go for it.
wantingbabies: I realize that you tried a long time. I'm just saying not many women get pregnant on the first IUI. I wish you the best of luck in your pregnancy.
sorry for the double post. :)
I'm in the same boat as you. I figured since it can't hurt and it is covered by insurance, clomid + IUI is the way to go. You can also just do clomid with no IUI. Yes, the chances of IUI are statistically low but you know what? So is regular old fashioned baby dancing for those who aren't infertile. It takes one good egg/sperm so to me, what the hey, why not? Plus in order to get insurance coverage, I have to prove without a doubt that they tried every avenue possible. Good luck.

Don't be too jealous...Like I said, it took us 6 years, and we also suffered one m/c. It was a very trying and frustrating time for us. We are very blessed that IUI worked for us on the very first try, and are still nervous about this pregnancy even though we are 19 weeks along. I truely believe that all of the ladies on here will be blessed one day soon with their own little miracle. Just keep hoping and try to keep a positive attitude!
wow..wantingbabies makes me jealous!
I just recently had my 5th IUI..with no success. I am healthy and doing IUI because we have to use a donor. I have only been on clomid (doc didn't feel I needed anything more)and it hasn't worked so I'm going to try the injectibles. Give it a shot. It's a lot cheaper than IVF. good luck.
IUI worked for me on the first try. I was on femara (similar to clomid), and had a trigger shot. This was after 6 years of trying. We didn't have low sperm count issues, but I would definately say I'm all for giving it a shot! Good luck!
