Hi girls,
I had a BFN on my hpt today:( I guess that I just thought since the first time worked (m/c at 6 weeks) then the 2nd time produced a healthy baby, but died of a cord accident at 20 weeks, that this IUI would work...but it didnt. Too repronex for 10 days...had 3 fully mature eggs...great sperm count etc...why didnt it work?? Here is my question...have any of you had IUI's where maybe one didnt work then the next one did, etc etc? My RE wants us to do the same thing this cycle. Is there anything that we can do to increase our chances with IUI??? Does more dosage decrease egg quality?? Cuz I'm on a pretty high dose stim.
Is there any reason for me to be hopeful this time around since it didnt work today?? And are my chances the same or worse now since it didnt work.
SOOOOOO frustrated with life.

I am starting my first round in injectables this month....if they ever arrive...I ordered from overseas. ANyway,my RE wil only do an injectable cycle 3 times. He said if it is going to work, it is usually cycle 2 or 3.
I think your chances are really good for next time.. it is all a numbers game. Even with all things just right and equal, only a percentage of the time will it result in a BFP. Don't worry.. it will happen.. maybe not this cycle, but probably next cycle.
After so many bfn iui cycles, they usually will not recommend doing anymore because you have played the percentages out and continuing to do iui over and over and over and over isn't going to give you any better chances.. You have not reached that point yet. Hang in there.. It'll happen.. your body knows what to do.. give it another chance.
I do not know where is statistics come from...he also said that about Clomid...If it does not work in the first three cycles, it will not work. I did 4 months of Clomid and he said NO more,...move on to injectables. He said every Doctor has their limits, but he feels ethically that three months is a realistic time frame on injectables
