IVF- between egg retrieval and transfer

I had my egg retrieval yesterday and today the doc called saying 4 eggs were retrieved and two of those were fertilized. Does anyone know the chances of both embryos developing well enough for a transfer? If both develop well, should we transfer both of just one.I'm 29 and this is our first cycle of IVF.

I guess you will have a day 3 transfer with all embryos trasnferred at that point.

If I were you I would transfer both embryos.  I had four fertalize & my other two didn't make the freeze.  I also did just m/c after 6 weeks so will have to start the process all over.

Again, transfer both........ya never know what can happen.

Do both!  Are they doing a 3 day or 5 day?  Some doctors, like mine, only do 5 days....

My transfer is today in a few hours! It will be on Day 3, but I don't understand the difference between day 3 and 5. Thanks for the advice, we are going to put in both and hope. My doc said that transferring both embryos gives us about a 50% chance of getting pregnant, and then if I am preggars, then a 25% chance of twins.

This is so exciting, but I'm nervous!! I hope it works!

There's a lot of controversy about day 3 vs day 5.  I know lots of success on day 3 and day 5 both!

hi just after abit of advise,im first time ivf, i had my egg retrival yesterday resulting in 5 eggs, had a call this morning 4 have fertilised, just nervous of them not making it to day 3 or 5. anyone in same situation xx
