IVF a second time

Well my husband and I are trying IVF a second time.  The first time we tried it, there were no eggs.  My RE tried to talking me into egg donation.  But i am not ready for that.  I have been pregnant before but miscarried.  We are uping the dose on all meds.  Hope there are eggs to retrieve.  Anyone out there in the same situation?

Hi erin, I am on my second IVF now.  My Beta HCG is Monday.  How did all you blood work turn out?  (like your reserve).  Sometimes it takes them a while to find out the right drug combination for each person.  Both of my IVF cycles did not create the folicles they wanted.  On both of them I had one folicle that outgrew the others.  I used completely different meds both times.  However, I was able to end up with three transferable embies.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that this time it worked.  I know what you mean about the egg donations.  I want to try at least 3 times with my own eggs before using donor eggs.  I have heard that on a average it takes 2 to 3 times before it works.  Good luck and keep us posted.

Good luck to you!  My blood work came back fine.  THe only problem was my estradiol levels were low so they put me on estradiol.  When i went, i had 6 follicles ranging from 6mm to 18 mm.  I didn't respond well to the meds so next time they will increas doses and add some new ones.  I am hoping that when they did the egg retrieval and there were no eggs it was because of the sluggish response to meds and my follicles did not respond.  I am going to try again soon.  thank you and good luck
