Has anyone with endometriosis become pregnant with Ist IVF.I read in net that sucess rate for IVf with endometrisis is not very good. I have got endometriosis and I am planned for Lap before having IVF.
I think that success rate depends on where endo grows. If it just damaged your tubes then your success rate with ivf should be pretty good.
I had a lap a few months ago and now doing my first ivf. I hope your doc can clear all of the endo. Note that endo can come back so try to do your ivf within a year of your lap.
hello! well I just got diagnosed with severe endo thru lap (they had to remove most of one ovary, so its essentially useless my RE said) otherwise i have it pretty much all over the place. We are trying IUI for 2 cycles with meds, and then we'll sit down and talk either about injectables or IVF. I asked him about the success rate and also the MC rate (which i had read was higher in endo patients) he said that they are discounting the higher MC rate if you get your hormones correct (a lot of endo patients have low progesterone) but with supplemental progesterone MC rate shouldn't be higher. Otherwise he seems to think that IVF success is pretty good (not quite as good, but almost) as non-endo patients. GOOD LUCK! I agree with Helen72, hopefully they can remove a lot of it during the lap, mine wasn't able to!
I have mild endo and I have very short periods, usually between 21-25 day cycles....anyone else have short cycles? I am TTC through IUI and just had my 1st laparoscopy
