IVF donor egg recepient

Hi there,

This is my second attempt at IVF. First attempt my egg quality was not good so we are using donor eggs. I am a bit nervous about the embryo implanting. Can you offer any advise. I am on Cilest and I start my buserelin injections on the 15th Oct.

there is a web site that I belong to.. twoweekwait.com and they have specific message boards for ladies who are going through the actualy procedures... maybe you wanna check that out.. because they may have better information about the meds you are on.  I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks, it's basically the same as the regular IVF the only (main) difference is that I will be using eggs from another peron to increase my chances of becoming pregnant. As the date nears for me to begin the daily injections I am getting somewhat nervous...........guess the last attempt is what I am remembering as well. My husband and I are keeping it happy and as stress free as posible. However any advise I can get I will gladly appreciate.

The medication I will start with on the 15th Oct is Buserelin and then the estradiol valerate meds on the 25th Oct (low strength adult asprin)..........I am already on folic acid  As I am the recipent I will not be having any folicle stimulating drugs this time around but I will need to have a full bladder for the transfer........ I am really happy that you guys have responded to my queries. I am feeling a lot better now. I will check the website www.twoweekwait.com tonight.

Hi! Don't worry about the embryotransfer, it's like a pap smear or vaginal US, not relly fun but not too bad either. The worst part is that they want you to have a really full bladder and then you wait and wait ;-) I don't know about your medications, I guess they are not meant for follicle stimulation sice you are using donoreggs so maybe you won't even need the full bladder...
I got a prescription for 1 valium to help me relax if I wanted but never used it!
