IVF egg grade?

Hi Ladies, I have a question. I've been reading posts and notice you talk about the grade/quality of the eggs that get transfered . what is that and what are the good numbers?

It is not as simple as telling you what are good and bad numbers as different IVF clinics use different grading systems. It also depends on whether you are doing a 3 day embryo( usually it is how many cells 8 is good  for day 3 and fragmentation the less the better.grade 4 is the best) .  or 5 day blastocyst. The blast is the last stage in embryo development.5AA is usually the best. Here is a link to what they look for.

Grading system depends on the clinic.  After your transfer your embryologist will tell you something about the quality of your embryos.  Like feather2e said, everything depends on whether you are doing a day 3 or day 5 transfer.  
Also keep in mind that quality may not be the best predictor of success.  My embryos were considered poor quality, grade 2 and 2.5 with grade 3 being the lowest at our ivf lab.
