Somebody know the best IVF program after 40 whit a cosigner, its so frustrated when you try to conceive a baby for long time and don't find any financial help for try IVF method, too many people here has money apparently because don't talk about this VERY IMPORTANT topic, which is in my opinion the more important thing, because the price are very ridiculous, so expensive.
Thank you for any help
We live in Miami, FL.
Sorry about the funds thing. We all suffer from it, except a lucky few who have insurance that pays for it... that wouldn't be me though. I am over 40, and have not found any luck with programs that offer discounts or packages for us. I decided to go the donor route option for better rates and better changes. We put our IVF on a 6 month same as cash credit card, and put the rest on a home equity loan. Also, if we have to do another round w/donor eggs, we will be joining a 100% refund program, and it will be paid for just like a car... over several several years. Believe me, the ladies on here don't have $$, we have a dream, and I have given up alot of "extras" to try and achieve them. I always tell my DH that our child will have to get a scholorship to college because we spend the $ trying to have them... so we can't afford college.
I wish you luck and success and pray you find the way to finance your dream.
Unless you do donor eggs, you are considered high risk after age 35 - just like a bad driver trying to get new car insurance - so you cannot participate in many programs.
I have spent probably $18k with IVF, $500 bucks every month I try on my own. Then the co-pays. So after 2 1/2 years it is adding up.
Instead of used donor eggs its in our opinion much better adopt a child.
Why don't exist some kind of organization to help people whit this problem, too many people are very rich and 20 K is nothing for them.
I haven't yet. We have 7 snow babies from last year from my first donor. Our new RE wants to use those and get them to blast(or as far as possible) and do a transfer. If that doesn't work, on to Attain or Shady Grove... I just pray that in these 7 embryos
i am adopted so do not think I dismiss this option lightly. but i was adopted before adoption was legal.
now If you look into adoption from a credible agency, one where your interests/rights/emotions are protected as well as the babies and the mothers, it will be $40k. and that is just for the first child. and you have to pass many hurdles to be approved.
whereas if you can afford IVF, you may be able to have more than one child with one retrieval. and no one asks you about your plans for raising the child or puts you through an audition.
believe me i know it does not make sense, erectile dysfunction
is not. also my insurance does not pay for IVF but my IUIs are covered. I have now done about 10 or more IUIs. and I know one IVF is cheaper than 10 IUIs.
Well, I am adopted myself, and have decided that my hubby wants his own child and this is a way that can be done... private adoption costs alot of $$ also, or adopting over seas. And getting on a "wait list" for a newborn can take years.
as usuk said... when you reach 38, your chances of having a baby declines because your eggs age with you. They are not as healthy as they once were, and RE's are not willing to finance/share the burden of transfers on older woman using their own eggs because there chances aren't ask good as younger woman. But, having said that... There are SEVERAL ladies on here over 38 that have concieved With Their Own Eggs too!!
I highly recommend adopting embryos
it is very cost effective
generally just the cost of the procedure and meds - 2-3 thousand dollars for all of it!
It worked for me
good luck
Not sure what your asking? Embryo adoption is when you "adopt" embryo's from other couples that are done growing their families. You adopt their embryos and do an IVF, but your not paying or medications and u/s's and bloodwork, so it is much much cheaper.
