IVF or IUI if I only have 2 mature follicles?

At day 12 of my fertility drugs Dr said I only have 2 mature follicles. We were all expecting more. Then he said I had the option to change the IVF plan and do IUI instead, stating that the success rates for women over 40 with low follicle count were about the same. Not sure what I should do ...

For. Reading up, people that have gone through this too,  said to see what your insurance covers first which one.  Then most of them said they preferred IVF. To skip IUI, but with everything if your insurance covers it, doesn't hurt to see if you have better luck being that we are all different.  Do a pro and con list it sound that most people really did prefer IVF and they are around the same meds.
Also if it is going to give you a better chance of getting more follicles then what's the harm,  but from what the doctor said to you, it sounds the same with no increase and I would stay with IVF.
