IVF success

Girls for all of you that have done IVF, how many had success with the first try? Can you share your story how many times you had to do it before got a positive test? Thanks

Hi there,

I am on my third cycle of IVF. The first cycle, I hyperstimulated, the second attempt, I only had one egg after 15 follicles. This does NOT mean that you can not get pregnant the first time around. Each person is different, based off of age, infertility issue, etc.

What are your plans?

I'm on my third. I got pregnant on the second attempt (miscarried in January), and also on my third attempt (5 weeks 1 day today!).

I got pregnant with my first attempt, 15 weeks now. I used donor eggs and my husband's sperm. Good luck!

Successful on my third IVF, but w/ donor eggs. First two...bad eggs was what the culprit was for fertility probs. But great transfer and pregnancy on third. Have a very close friend who has two beautiful girls, each only took 1 IVF (each, had none to freeze after first). And a group I have gotten close w/ through our clinic, there have been 4 out of the 10 of us who were successful on 1st IVF.

I got pregnant on the first go. I had done a few IUI's which hadn't worked. I am only 31 and I had a mild case of Endomitriosis. My husband and I tried for over a year and a half and we just thought why waste more time incase it will take another 2 before anything happens so we thought we would try and I cannot believe it worked the first time. It is cheaper here in Australia so I guess we were fortunate with that.

I am 6 weeks and 3 days today and being hopeful that it will stay.

Sucessfull on 1st attempt of IVF with donor eggs.  Had 3 eggs implanted and pregnant with 1 baby!  Next week, we find out the sex of the baby..yeah!!!!

i tried for the 1st time last month and had a positive test... beta at 1500 and everthing seems good so far.. think positive.. it helped me thorough the whole process

Like several other posters, I'm 32 weeks pregnant on my 2nd cycle w/donor eggs - 1st one was cancelled to lack of ovarian stimulation.
