the point is that with ICSI they need at least one motile sperm to inject into the egg, but when motility is zero, you dont know whether they're alive or did, they're not moving anyhow.
this is why i'm asking if it's possible to do the ICSI with zero motility
i read something about the MESA & TESA where they get the sperm directly from the tests in cases of zero sperm count, but dont know if it helps with the motility?
does anyone have an idea??
i'm pretty far along in the process. my retrieval was monday (30 eggs!). i got a report today that 26 fertilized and 8 are grade A, which my doctor was extremly happy with. They're transfering 2 on Saturday. I was super worried because of the low sperm numbers, but i'm thankful it turned out well. Good luck with your process!!!
ours wasn't zero, but it was low.
we did IVF with ICSI and are 10 weeks pregnant with our one little bean
so YES it can work :)
Hi- We're in the same exact situation, same numbers except Morphology is slightly higher. Our RE recommended ivf w/icsi. We will have our first ivf try this July. When are you starting ivf?
icsi would be your best option.
we're doing ivf w/ icsi. husband's count is around 5 mil, motility is like 16% and morphology is less than 5%. so it is possible :)
I think you can do it with icsi. It's where they actually take the sperm and inject it into the egg. Talk to you dr about it.
