Ibuprofen and TTC

Just an FYI - When I was talking to the nurse at the RE yesterday, she told me not to take ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, etc) while TTC, becasue it can cause you not to O and will interfere with implantation!  I thought it was interesting and that you guys might like to know that!!

I use a lot of Ibuprofen too, but I switched to Tylenol.

My RE told me to stay away from Advil, especially in TWW. So, switch to Tylenol.

Hi can you tell me if I should stop taking Midol? I have been eating them like tic tacs? Gosh, I hope this doesn't interfere with TTC!!!!

I don't know. Does Midol have ibuprofen in it?  Take a look at the ingredients.  I'm not sure if any other meds in Midol will hurt things, though...

Does anyone know about the impact of ibuprofen on sperm?  My wife and I are in the middle of an IVF cylce.  To add stress to the situation, I decided to develop an abcess (abscess) on a tooth and need a root canal.  As you can imagine, the pain is pretty bad.  The MD says it is OK to take ibuprofen and any OTC med, but I want to avoid anything that might screw us up.  If anyone has any knowlegde/advice, I would appreciate it.

Does Aleve count? i take that all the time for pms or if i get a headache.
