Did any of you quit coffee in an attempt to boost fertility.  What about my husband should he cut down too?  Thanks so much for your help!!

I did, but for my general health!  I think that there is mixed research about caffeine and what you can and can't have.  Sugary sodas, I think, are deemed worse than coffee - there has been some recent studies done that you can probably google on the internet!

HTH!

I quit drinking anything with caffine in it (I would have a soda or two a week). I only drank 64- 96 oz of water a day. I think it helped when I got preggo. Once I cut all that caffine out (first of all I actually slept well at night!!) I got preggo the next month (along with using a lot of fertility drugs). So, it could have been the drugs but I would cut as much as you can from your diet - have a cup of coffe a day and then water, water, water.

When I read an article in Newsweek a few months ago - it said caffine has a big impact on how your body feels and works, so that is my suggestion. After my miscarriage I went back to soda for a while (trying to get it all in while I can!) but I can't sleep and I feel dehydrated all the time now (barely drinking any water now). So, I will be switching back to pure water when I go back to school next week. Hope this helps!!! :)

I was such a caffine drinker, and initially iddn't cut back becuase my obgyn had said it was no big deal and even all the friends I had that were pregnant - ther Dr's said anything less than 300mg is fine! then 8 months passed and still not preggo, so I researched online, lots of stuff said it takes women who drink caffine three times as long to get pregnant (it didnt' quantify how much caffine and it also may be the lifestyle is stresful of women who drink more coffee - so who knows how reliable that was!) anyhow So i stopped.. i'll have a dr pepper once in a blue moon and when AF comes I go to starbucks and have friends over for wine too! : )

That makes sense to me.  We had been trying for five years and i got preg.  when I started weight watchers.( Just really to eat healthier not for weight loss)   I had an early M/C at 5weeks but i can't help but wonder if my improved diet had something to do with the preg.  I'll start pushing the water.  Thanks Again

I quit caffeine when we started TTC.
My RE said NO caffeine at all after transfer for IVF (during TWW).
I know that I read somewhere that is bad for us but actually good for man.
But I'm not sure its true.
Good look and welcome to Decaf!
