In Vitro Fert

Hi All! Found this site just searching the web so I wanted to join in.
My husband and I are going through the In Vitro process. We have tried for 5 years before we went to this route. We did our egg retreival, had 14/21 fertilized. Tueday June 29th they did our embryo transfer. Yeterday they ran an HGC early just to see what my levels were. I was a 38 out of a 200. I guess at 200 your pregnant? Im just curious of the next steps in the process , Please comment!

Congrats!  I did IVF in May and am now 9 weeks pregnant. :)  I've never heard of rating hcg on a scale like that...usually it's just anything over 5 is pregnant.  Then they test again in 48 hours to make sure the hcg is doubling since that's the best early indicator of a viable pregnancy. Did you do a day 3 or day 5 transfer?

Congrats! I did a 5 day transfer. I wondered that myself, I didnt understand , guess I will need to ask tomorrow at my next appt. How many days after transfer do u usually know if u are preg? And we had 2 embryos placed, when do we know how many?

Thanks. :) My RE did my first beta 15 days after my retrieval (I had a day 3 transfer of two embryos) so that's when I officially found out I'm pregnant. I've learned on here that everyone's RE's timing is different, though. My first ultrasound was at 6 weeks so that's when we learned there was one little embryo growing in there.
