Intercourse after m/c

I recently had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. I am hardly bleeding but have a small amt. of light brownish discharge. It's been a little over a week since I passed the fetus. Does anyone know when I can have intercourse? How about ovulation? My beta #s are still being checked and have not gone down to 0 yet. Should I wait until then?

Generally the rule is to wait until 6 weeks after a miscarriage to have intercourse.

I'm so sorry for your loss. :(
