I've had an irregular menstrual since i was 15, but only by a week or a few days, but it got to the point where it wouldnt come for 6-9 months, and i wasn't pregnant. I was checked by my primary the first time, I was having normal pap's and he just gave me a pill and my period started again, and i was on birth control... after a year or so, i stopped the birth control and once again, my period went bazzurk after a while without bc. I didn't have a menstrual for 5 months. I had a pap done that had bad cells and had to have a leap procedure done to remove them from the lining of my cervix. HPV cells i believe. I had then seen a new gyno, had blood tests done and was in the ER for severe lower left abdominal pain, to find out i had a cyst and PCOS, the cyst however has disappeard within 4 days of the initial finding, and hormone levels are starting to even out again. I was perscribed Metformin, but unfortunately I had severe side effects. It seemed to help with the weight gain and insulin levels (I am not diabetic), and they think i wont need it as long as i stay on my birth control and everything keeps semi normal.
Now me and my b/f have been together a long time and we really really want a family... he smokes.. and so do i .. about a 1/2pack a day between the 2 of us. He had frequently smoked weed. We have unprotected sex almost daily, and i still show no signs of getting pregnant, is it impossible to get pregnant with PCOS and irregular menstruals? What are some things i can do, either clinically or naturally???
