Is anyone getting ready close to ovulation

But i thought maybe we could start one with people

I am 3dpo here, and of course my body is playing tricks on me. I think all my symptoms are from the meds and from O'ing more follicles than mu body is accustomed to.
My fertility issues stem from having a "mild" form of PCOS. Basically, I ovulate on my own, but only about half of the time. I always had irregular periods, but never knew there was an issue until last year, when I went 5 months without AF and gained 30 pounds in 1 month! My FSH and LH levels are switched (meaning I always have High LH), but other than that there is no other indicator. Based on the national averages, I am not technically insulin resistant, but I am taking Metformin anyway. It increases the body's sensitivity to insulin so you don't overproduce androgynal hormones that can prohibit ovulation, and estrogen in large amounts which causes weight gain and store insulin. I have been on it for one month, and I have already lost weight and my skin--which had freaked out on me also--is MUCH better.
Anyway, the bottom line is as soon as I turned 36 it seemed my body went haywire! I am in my fourth month TTC, and hoping for the best--for us all! Seems everyone is so close in terms of O'ing! SSBD to all of you.

Good luck Jennyfer and babyalive! You guys are close! I should get my surge Wednesday and go in for my IUI on Thursday (Valentine's Day)!! Hopefully this will be my lucky one!! For the last 3 months I have gone in for my IUI on the 16th day of my cycle so thats when I'm expecting to go! =)
Helen, I do not know which side... my RE doesn't do the u/s until I go in for my IUI... I don't have any idea until then! I wish I knew!!! you are just like me. I test several times per day as well. I got a 100% negative on cd13 in the am but then a positive at 7 pm. My levels went down by 7 pm on cd14. Just like you I get a later O with clomid. I always tell myself that it means a more mature, better quality egg.

Good luck Jennyfer! I'm on cd 13 today and waiting for the LH surge. I'll be going in for u/s tomorrow and then IUI either tomorrow or Monday. Here's to this being our month for BFP!
Hey I am on cycle day 11 and feel like I am gonna O any second now. Yesterday I had pains too. I usually only get the pains for one day but I think my system may still be messed up from the clomid I took LAST month. This month we are trying all natural. Wish me luck. I wish everyone on here good luck too:) BFP for everyone!!!!

My DH was told he has low morphology... so it looks like we have 2 things making it not happen for us... I was shocked when I had a blocked tube because I have an 8 year old so never in a million years would I have thought it would be me causing the infertility too...
I think I'm gonna have to talk DH to moving there!!! If we had coverage for IVF I'd be going there Monday and signing up!!! LOL you are VERY lucky to have coverage!

Wohoooo! I'm CD14 and just got my surge! I had an almost-as-dark line at noon today, and just tested again now and got a positive (at 11:30 on a Friday night...I need a life :-)
Rxy, I don't really know why I have a hard time getting pregnant. No blockages, hormone levels normal, DH's SA normal.... I have been pregnant twice over the last two years, though, but both ended in an early miscarriage. I do have Factor V, but I guess that's not really "suppose to" be an issue until 2nd and 3rd trimester (will need to take heparin).
Hoping it will happen again soon, though, and that it will be an "uneventful" nine months next time :-)

Thanks guys! Wow, lots already in 2WW! I'm jealous! I wish I was already in it! I did ask last month about being on clomid AGAIN and they told me my lining was fine and that I could be on it for a year and it wouldn't be bad??? Not too sure though... my DH and I were thinking we'll take a break from it next month if nothing happens this month. We are actually going to see what the next step is next month scary!!! I want to do it this month but I'm sure it will be IVF and I'm so scared of it because of the cost! So we'll see...hopefully this will be my month! =)
I don't know maybe I missed this... but what is everyone's diagnosis? I mean, how come are you guys unable to conceive right now? Just curious... I think that infertility is more common than I would have ever imagined before it happened to me too! Me, I have a blocked fallopian tube... unknown cause... never had a lap to see thinking that's what will be our next step...

jenandjon--I had a non-medicated cycle in between Clomid and Femara+Follistim, and I ended up O'ing on my own (no BFP though--WAAH!) But, yes, it is good to have an alternative between this and IVF. Although, the follistim/injectable part of the regime is costly. I am looking into getting the meds from Canada if this cycle doesn't result in a BFP, as the meds cost me $1500. After next cycle w/IUI (total $2500) I will go to IVF and hopefully freeze some embies so I can have more than one child at less expense later. I sure hope it doesn't come to that, though. Jeez.

Hi guys. I'm 7dpo today. Glad to hear things are going OK for you guys. My doc will only do Clomid for 3 months due to the rate of cysts and thin uterine lining. After that its injectables.
HeathJo - those follie #s look gr8. It give me some positive hope if Clomid doesn't work. I still have this cycle, plus prob a blown one next month before I'll start Clomid, but knowing there's something before 15$K IVF treatments is good.

clomid may not provide you woith much EWCM, an indication that you are O'ing. However, OPK's still work. After 6 month you should talk to your doc about moving to other options. Did your doc check your lining? After 6 month of clomid your lining may be getting too thin.

Heather5--Glad you enjoyed that post about my ill-aimed dh! Someone else just posted a story that was so funny I nearly wet my pants! I am glad you can stock up on your preseed and not having to worry.

Pre-seed is the only sperm-friendly lubricant available. It's formulated to mimic fertile cervical mucus. I had always heard that clomid can dry you up, I guess I was just hoping it wouldn't happen to me. Oh well, pre-seed it is! Oh and the OPKs are valid whether you have fertile CM or not :-)

I hear you. my daughter is 5, and we have pretty much been trying since she was born. i just assumed i would have another right away. Once I knew I was having her, I always knew that I wanted my kids close, and it just didn't happen. I really didn't think much of it. I stayed home with her for the first year and then went back to work, so I got really into work and trying to finish my degree. It's just been the last 6 months that I've been a little crazy. I was determined to have a summer baby, and when that didn't happen it started getting really upseting. I'm 29, but my DH is 44. I know technically I still have time, but he is older. He doesn't want to using a walker at his kids graduation.
I got laid off/ quit my job a few months ago, and that doesn't help either, because now I have nothing else to do but obsess about this!
Even my OB's nurse was flabergahsted when I was like I need help concieving.
I must be tired, because my spelling and typing is awful tonight.

dh was excited when i first told him about a baby cause
thats all he thought that we would have to do ALL the time
well now that it has been 13months its not that cool anymore
especially since we have to time it so then when you don't have to worry
about doing it you don't want to.
