Is grade 2 egg good enough for tranfer?

Can anyone tell me about grade 2 eggs. Out of four eggs that were taken out only two fertilised but one reached grade 2 today and it is a second day. It seems that grade two egg are not considered good enough for transfer. IVF Lab told me that they will know more tomorrow but usually they tranfer eggs from grade 3 or 4. Anybody there that know more about this?

Thanks for your comments. This morning I had bad news that my transfer was canceled. From two embryos one reached blasto stage but was abnormal and the other did not manage to blasto stage. Seeing RE on Friday to make a plan. Did any of you have transfer on day five at blasto stage? Is there a chance that my next IVF I will have better embryos? My acupuncturist wants me to try natural cycle IVF - he belives that I will produce better quality egg using natural cycle.
I promised myself that I will be brave if it does not work but it is so hard to keep positive. I cried the whole morning and I am feeling exausted.

All labs grade them differently.  I have been told this though- A low grade embryo makes a normal baby if it makes it.

Here is a great website that explains the grading for day 3 and day 5 transfer.  http://www.advancedfertility.com/embryoquality.htm
I had  3 eggs transfered, 2 were very poor quality and one was average quality, I delivered a beautiful baby girl January 2008 we think it's from average egg, good luck!!

I think different fertility centers have different grading systems, so I'm not sure...but just wanted to see how things went. Did you have your transfer yet?

Best of luck to you!
