Is there any medication that can reverse a vesectomy?

I am 25 years old and my boyfriend is 35 years old. 11 years ago he had a vesectomy and we have decided that we wanted to try for a baby. I would like to know if there is any medication or something of the sort that he could take other than getting a reverse vesectomy? What would they be if that were the case? Also what would the chances be after 11 years of getting pregnant? Is our only option a reverse vesectomy?

No such thing as medicine he could take. He would have to go though a vasectomy reversal. I am 24 and my husband is 34 and we are in the same boat as you. My husband had a reversal last march and it was successful at the 2 month mark, but by his 6 month check up it was not . His reversal was only done 4 years ago so I had no doubt in my mind that would work. The other option is in vitro. It is much more expensive and time consuming. I would try the reversal, it will be a lot less stressful. We are in my first cycle of in vitro and it is very intense.

I was in the same boat and you have two options...reversal or IVF. We did IVF bc I have no fertility issues and it has a higher % rate of pregnancy..ESP bc you're young...than the reversal. I believe it is quite a bit more expensive though. All in all it's around $17,000.00 for procedure & meds without INS. Our INS didn't pay a dime but we are pregnant w twins and know it was all worth it.
