Is there something we can do while on Clomid to enhance the possibility?
My husband and I have been trying for a few years now. I've always had an irregular cycle even when on the pill. The dr. has put me on clomid and on a coitus schedule. I did my first cycle in october and I'm just waiting for my pd. to get here tomorrow. I've had symptoms of swollen
breasts, bloating and nausea. But I can tell I'm not pregnant because I don't feel any different but those symptoms. I had some blood work done on thursday..her assistant called yesterday and said that it showed that I've ovulated but she didn't say anything about me being pregnant or not. So, I went out and bought myself an early pregnacy test and an ovulation kit (just in case I'm not pregnant). It was negative!!
I'm trying not stress myself out. But I just found out my best friend is pregnant. Its making me jealous cause I know she's never thought of herself raising a kid...she's most likely going to pass the responsiblity over to her husband. She would always say that she wouldn't know what to do and her husband will just do everything. And then theres me, who's been wanting to be a mom since I first held a baby.
Is there something special we can do while on Clomid to maybe enhance the possibility??
Well, the assistant didn't tell you whether you are pg or not, because she doesn't know! A mid-luteal progesterone test ONLY tests you progesterone level. There would be no point in testing for pregnancy then. Same thing with an EPT- it's too soon to test.
If you feel like your CM is drying up due to the clomid, consider taking mucinex or robitussin to thin it out. Has you dh had a semen analysis done?
What does CM mean? I'm not familiar with the terminology yet. If that means semen .. then no I don't feel like thats the problem. What I meant about "Is there something we can do while on Clomid to enhance the possibility?" is .. are there things we could do to promote pregnancy while on clomid?
We haven't done any semen analysis yet because I felt the problem was me because of my irregular menses
There's really not anything "extra" you can do to help get pregnant while taking Clomid. Since you did ovulate, then the Clomid is working, and that is great! You just have to stay calm and don't stress out. I would try to wait until AF is late to test...otherwise, you might test too early and get a BFN and could really be pregnant!
