June 2010 FET

Question

I am going for my second FET in june, somewhere between june 7-11. Just looking for buddies going through the same thing. My first one took but sadly i miscarried at 12 weeks and i am now ready to try again. I start my Superfact on May 6. So if there is anyone out there who also needs a buddy let me know!!

Mine says uterus toning as well...aparently the uterus toning helps with the muscles as well to help ease contractions in labor...I don't know. I read on the internet also that women pre make ice cubes out of the tea and suck on them during labor.

The side of my box says "organic rasberry leaf tea is a traditional uterine tonic for difficult and painful menstruation and for use during pregnancy in preperation for childbirth. I don't know???

I will take it till a week before transfer AND HOPEFULLY IT WORKS!!!!!

I tried to drink 2 to 3 cups a day. mostly, i did 2 cups a day but i think the recommended dose is 3 cups. The tea i have says - It's to tone uterus and thicken lining, I never heard of taking it to induce labor...

So i went to the health food store and bought my rasberry leaf tea...now what do i do? It says that is to ease in labor, but i have read on line to drink it till ovulation (which would be 3 days before transfer) but it never said how many cups to drink...what did you do? The lady at the health food store also said there are alot of pregnant ladies that buy it to induce labor, but online it says it just helps tone the uterus, thicken the lining, and ease in labor...not start it.

Thanks for the advice...I will send my husband to get some!!!! Anything that will help. Although my last FET did work,  I want to do everything I did last and anything to help the baby stay alive (he died invetro at 12 weeks). I went on a juice regime this last time...not sure if it helped but i did get a BFP.

Each day I had a glass of pineapple juice (to aid in implantation), a glass of cranberry juice (to ward off infection) and a glass of grape juice ( to aid in the constipation caused by the progesterone). 

Just a little tid bit that helped me!!

Try red raspberry leaf for the thin lining. you can get it in a tea form (they sell it at whole foods and other grocery stores). My first IUI i was on clomid and i had a thin lining and even with the estrogen it only got to a 7 (this was measured 5 days after the IUI was done too). The 2nd IUI, i was on injectables, but i took the red raspberry leaf and my lining was already at a 9 before i even did the IUI.

I have frozen embies so I don't have to do stims. They just don't want you ovulating in a frozen cycle because if happens early it may mess up the cycle. My clinic likes to control every aspect of a transfer. It isn't a quick process that's for sure, still 6 weeks from start to transfer approximatly...


Kris71- I hope all works out, it really depends on the clinic I guess. My ovaries had no problem stimming, it is my lining that takes forever to thicken. I waited an extra week and half last transfer and they said my lining was on the bottom end of acceptable, so they are upping my estrace this cycle..

thanks for the tips, i'll have to talk to my dr about the 3 day/5 day thing. i think he told me he prefers transferring 5 day but it all depends on the eggs etc. I'm 38. I go back on May 8th to see if my cysts are gone (i got cysts from my previous IUI stimulation) and then if they are gone, I go off BCP and dr said i should have a light 3 day period right after that and then if stimulation goes as hoped, aspiration will be May 22 but i bet it's a few days later... it always seems to take me a little longer to stimulate my ovaries...

krichar- wow..u had lots of eggs! Good luck,! What is your diagnosis? I will be starting stimming after May AF ,,which is due near the end..they shots were not to bad..I am nervous about the oil progesterone I heard there really painful..

kris71- Good luck! Hopefully your 1st will be your last!..I am almost 37 and my RE says most "older women" have 3 day"..not sure if he is right!

I have always done 3 day embryos, my last FET i had a BFP but he wasn't meant to be i guess. My clinic will only transfer 1-5 day blast, but will transfer 2-3day embryos due to my age at retrieval. It doesn't really matter i suppose. I asked the embryologist at my last transfer which is better and he said you have the same odds. He said my 3 days were all great quality but my blasts formed from my lesser quality embryos. Just ask the doctor what they suggest for you. 

That is a quick timeline. I start my superfact on may 6 (like BCP but you don't form any eggs), then i have to wait after my next AF then hit the estrace hard...Good Luck and SSBD!!!!!!

I am doing my first IVF but will probably do my transfer on May 27. Right now I'm just starting the process with BCP and the tentative timeline should everything go smoothly is get eggs on 5/22 and transfer on 5/27 although how many do a 3 day transfer instead of 5? is there better luck with a 3 or 5 day?

To be honest I am not sure...They said they are all good quality. We originally had 23 embies, 2 put back in and 15 frozen. Last FET we used up 4 to get 2 to transfer.

They do it a bit different here though, they froze some at all stages. Right now I have 2-5 day blasts, 4-3 day embryos and 5 day 1 zygotes left. Thanks for the well wishes, i am full with a sense of peace and overwhelming hope like i haven't been before so i have faith this is my time!!! How about you?

15 frozen!!! Holy moly, that is awesome! Were they all A quality, or does your clinic decide to freeze everything left of the cycle, regardless of quality? Congrats on that and good luck, ladies!

We actually had 15 embies frozen so hopefully i will never have to do the needles again. I was ok with it in the begining but near the end i could barely bring myself to do it anymore. When do you start your crazy drug regime? I start mine may 6, i don't have to do anything crazy but by the end it feels like i am taking pills all day...good luck to us both this time...no more heartache!!!

This will be our 2nd ivf..we had nothing to freeze...we had a chemical in march...thats awesome that u had ones to freeze..no crazy drugs for u this month!
