I felt great because I was heavily medicated!! I did not find out the results right away, but my dh did. Telling me would have been pointless, because I wouldn't have remembered. Compared to the D&C's that I've had, it's a more painful recovery, but not too bad.

It took me about two weeks to recover...the only part that really is annoying is the gas that is built up in your system from the procedure...whatever you do, DO NOT lay down for a couple of days...the gas seems to go to your shoulder, etc... and that is soooo painful....I did that!!! I was in extreme pain!!!  It's better to sleep in a recliner.... I guess it also depends on how many incisions you need...I only had two....I found out the results right away and I saw the video of the surgery!!!  Of course they found nothing...  Good luck..Jacquie

I also had 5 incisions. I made myself walk a little the day after surgery to help with the gas, and a little further the following day. Don't overdo it, but walking can help with the gas.

I had 3 incisions.  The gas pain was by far the worst part! I highly recommend walking around as much as possible, even if you don't want to, in efforts of preventing the gas from building up.  I had the surgery to remove a dermoid from my left ovary, and found out definitive results at my follow up appointment.  After my surgery, my gyno told my mom it wasn't cancerous just by how it looked.  I was back to work after 2 weeks, taking it easy of course, and I went back to classes in time for finals after 5 days, but it was rough.  The surgery is not bad at all, but it was my first surgery.  Best of luck to you =)

I had 3 incisions.   I didn't move very much becasue I was hurting, but i had that shoulder pain.   Nothing really touched it.
But it took me about 2 full weeks to recover.  I had my surgery on Wednesday and tried to return to work Monday, but I had to leave.  It was too much.
They took out alot of deep endometriosis.   I found out as soon as I came out of the sleep.  My RE briefly told me they removed some and it should make a big difference with my pain and fertility.  That was good to know when i woke up.
She went into detail with my husband, though. then she called me the next day and gave me the details.  Then we met a couple weeks later to go over the pictures.
I was swollen for a few weeks, though.  My clothes were all tight and I was puffy.   It was uncomfortable.
But otherwise, it was no big deal.   I was looking forward to a few days off from work for it!

Hey.I must tell you that I had a pretty good experience with my lapro about a month ago. I had just 2 incisions. Ofcourse I was totally out(with GA) for the procedure. I was a little groggy till about 3-4 hrs after it and left the hospital soon after. I was a little sore that day coz of the anesthesia. Had absolutely no shoulder pain or sore throat that I had been warned about. I went back to work the next day and the incision near my navel was tender(only when touched) for a couple of days. It healed pretty quick and now I cannot even see the mark of the incision. The other incision just above the hair line was  totally ok right after the surgery.

Dont worry about it.Just remember that everyone's body reacts differently.Have happy thoughts. Your surgery will go great and more importantly they will find nothing wrong with you...just like they did with me. Love and prayers.
