Laparoscopic Surgery

My dr has suggested I have laparoscopic surgery since I have not gotten pregnant in the last 3 cycles with IUI. I've done an HSG and everything looks good. My dr just wants to see if there is something he is missing and can't see with an u/s. Has anyone ever had laparoscopic surgery just because the dr suggested it?? Has anyone ever become successful at becoming pregnant after surgery? I'm very skeptical and can't afford IVF. PLEASE HELP!

I had a lap after 3 failed clomid cycles.  My hsg was normal and everything else looked good.  The lap revealed that I had significant scar tissue that made many infertility treatments useless for me.  So, for me the lap was the best investment since it explained my infertility.  For some women the lap did not reveal much though.

Was your next cycle successful? Have or did you become pregnant after? Sorry for the questions, I'm just so confused.

I had 2 lap surgeries so far so good and waiting now  to TTC!!
