Laparoscopy

How long after a laparoscopy does it take to have a period? I had one done on April 17th and I bleed for a week. But I haven't got my period yet. My last period was April 7th thru the 10th.

Hi there,
After a laparoscopy one can expect menses to appear on time or a few days earlier than usual. The flow can be lighter or heavier and may be accompanied by clots. There may be slight vaginal bleeding after laparoscopy which is quite normal. If you do not get your periods on time it is suggested to see your attending physician. Do write to me again.
Best luck and regards!
