Bny807 is right, you can definately still get pregnant. Most of the time your body adapts to having only one ovary. You will usually start ovulating on that side. Your doctor should be able to help tell you if you are ovulating on the side you need, with the help of ultrasound. I am not sure why you need a D&C. This procedure is done to "clean out" out the uterus. Did you have a m/c before. This is usually done to remove a unviable pregnancy. Who is your Dr. in Beaumont? It's not Dr. Schnell is it?
sorry to hear that you had to go through this!!! I think that a lot of ladies on here have not only gotten preg and had babies with one tube, but also one ovary! and many have also had fibroid removals and had successful pregnancies! : ) as far as the D&C not sure why that would be either! I had to have most of one of my ovaries removed and we have many many many other issues, and still got preg (but unfortunately miscarried) but looks like we are preg again (with some help).. but its defintetly possible! some people will start ovulating on their "good side" every month, while others will alternate like before surgery, therefore your fertile about every other month.. chances are still great especially being young! GOOD LUCK! : )
