Late AF on with clomid

I took 50 mg Clomid this past month. I ovulated on day 16. I am now on day 30. I usually have a 27-28 day cycle. I still have not seen AF. I took HPT but it said -. Could I still be pregnant just too soon to show or does clomid make your cycle late. I thought you where suppose to start 14 days past Ovulation. Confused. How long should I wait to retest if No AF

I normally have 28 day cycles but they are usually 30 day cycles when I am on Femara, which is similar to Chlomid. If you  O'd on day 16, wouldn't 14 days after that be a 30 day cycle? If you took a reliable hpg I would guess that AF would come in the next day or two. It sounds like you should start tomorrow.

Thanks. Yes, would think it would be a 30 day cycle. I guess we wiil see what happens over thenext couple of days. Guess I was just still hopeful

You never know, I have heard of people who don't test positive until they are "officially" late. I am always hoping too.... I know exaclty what you mean ;-)

I am so new to this. I have two other children. 9 and 3 years. I conceived them with no drugs or anything. I am having a hard time with this whole waiting thing. I guess I will have to learn to just put it in Gods hands and let it happen. I appreciate all your help

Clomid is notorious for making your cycle length longer.

my cycle is always 28 days without clomid and 31 or 32 with clomid...I hope you get a get a positive though!!!

I am also on my first cycle of clomid, but does clomid increase ur luteal phase cause that is what usually remains the same each cycle, mine is usually 14 days, although I can be 13-15....but on clomid I o'd on cd 15, which is sooner than I do on my own, but my dr said my luteal phase should remain the same, he actually gave it to me to bring my cycles closer together and give me o closer to day 14 rather than day 19 or longer, hope this helps...

Yes, I always thought that your luteal phase stayed the same also. Mine has always been 14 days also. I hear from many people that are just like us it has caused there cycle to go longer. Tomorrow will be day 31. I guess I will wait it out and see. My Dr is on vacation all week long so I have no choice. I hate this waiting game though. I just want AF to come so I can look forward to next cycle, but don't get me wrong, I would love to Get a + HPT. Thanks everyone so much this site has really helped me. I am on cd 29, so AF should have been here today but nothing yet.....don't want to get my hopes up though , maybe the clomid is causing my luteal phase to extend....good luck, hope u get ur BFP soon

I was late when I was on Clomid. I normally Ovulate on day 16 and have 30day cycles but last Clomid cycle was 32 days. I was crushed.Thought I was pregnant.

Yeah, today is day 31. I usually start first thing in the morning. Nothing this morning, and I don't feel like anything is coming. This really *****. I guess I will have to wait and see what happens this week. I don't really want to have to get on medicine to make AF come, But if I have to i have to. I pray I get my positive too. Its no way to really tell. Most of the early pregnancy signs I never get until about 8 weeks. The only thing is that my nipples are really swollen. They where very sensitive, but that was gone away. I know that is also a side effect on clomid. Leaving up to GOD

I am now in the same boat, first cycle on clomid, AF should have been here yesterday and it's still not here, my normal lp is 14 days, hope AF comes soon so I can get on with my next cycle, this bites

I started taking 50 mg of clomid last month.  I ovulated on day 13.  I am on day 28 of my cycle and usually I would have started on day 25 or 26 (at the latest).  I thought I was pregnant, took a test and it was negative.  I had the signs my cycle would start on day 25 and now they have gone away.  I keep hoping the test was wrong.  Hope you find your test was wrong!
