Good morning everyone!

mommyin09 - I can't believe AF still is not here.  I hope that's a good thing!  I would definitely be calling the doctor and requesting bloodwork.  We'll all keep praying extra hard for that BFP for you!

leighanne - Good luck at the doctor today.

Marcyh - I'm assuming you've had your retrieval by now?  Hope all is well.

Keyan - Yay, +OPK!!!!  I am so happy for you.  You should O within 12 to 48 hours after the + test.  Commence the BD!  ;)

Jessie - The orange line represents when O is predicted based on the FAM (Fertility Awareness Method), which uses BBT and CM signs to predict O.  I am so sorry to hear about the biomom situation.  Thank goodness the kids have a good, stable home with you guys.  I checked out your pictures and they are wonderful!  What a beautiful family.  :)

Arlotheslug - That's good news your got your IVF drugs already.  Won't be much longer now until the process begins.

Stacey - I hear ya, we're getting ready for winter too.  We've actually had a frost the past few nights.  We have 2 huge maple trees in our yard and all you can see are leaves everywhere.  We have so many bags full and just can't keep up with them!  I love this time of year with all the different colors.  I hope you get good news this time, but if not, it sounds like you have a great plan.

Well, as for me, no AF yet.  I usually get it around this time, so I guess we'll see.  My temps are still up, so I'm really hoping for that BFP this time!

Good Monday afternoon everyone,

Thanks for the new thread Mommyin09!

It was such a beautiful weekend here and yes, we finished all of our chores.  So far no squirrels at the bird feeder.  I think I really did it this year :)  No af signs or anything for me so far.  I'm not planning to test and will wait it out.  Hopefully I don't have another weird long cycle...I have had those on natural cycles after taking all of the drugs.

Mommyin09 - Glad you are calling to get a blood test.  It just seems out of the ordinary for you.  I have heard that progesterone can delay af but I assume you have been on it before when af shows on time??  Well, I'm still holding out hope for ya! :)

Arlotheslug - Glad you are starting the drugs soon and I'm sure everything will go better than your last attempt!  Now that they now how you react I am sure you will get a couple dozen nice eggies :)  And if you are blessed with an adoptive baby too? That would be wonderful!!

Candie - Great news that your temps are staying up!  Keep them that way! :)

Keyan - Congrats on the +OPK!!  Very exciting!  Hope it leads you to your bfp!

Jessie - Hope you are doing ok - you have so much going on!!  Beautiful pictures of your beautiful family!

Marcyh - Hope the retrieval was a success!

Leighanne - Good luck!  I'm sure everything will be just fine!

Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.  We are definitely due for some more bfps!!!

Thanks for the new thread mommyin09 and keeping us all in line.  PLEASE let us know what the DR says.  I am hoping for you (but you know that!) ;-)

Kenyan:  OMG and + OPK.  The smiley face is one of the best sights in the world!  Get to the BD!   Thank you for the well wishes.

Candie and Stacey:  Sending karma - I am really hoping this is it for you!  (ps Candie, what about those Steelers?  I turned the radio off after the first quarter thinking they would lose - all those lost 3rd down conversions!  DH and I were so busy yesterday that we forgot to check the game when we finally got home - Did you watch?).

MarcyH:  I hope everything went well today - please keep us in the loop!

Icerian:  Sending karma for tomorrow!  ;-)  Yippie moving forward!

Leighanne:  Yahoo!  overy 1/2 there!

Naf:  That is crazy!  I know how you feel about wanting AF - I was very happy to see it recently, b/c it means we can move on to the next stage . . . This is a test of patience.

Well, still no word from birthmom.  So, we are in a bit of a waiting game on all fronts.  We may not hear a word until the baby is born.  We found out this weekend, it is a boy.  Hopefully we will hear something soon.  If it is meant, it will be.  DH is pretty torn up waiting, I think I am trying to protect myself.

Happy Monday!

Okay, I know I am emotional due to Clomid but I need to ask. I am concerned that maybe the Clomid is not working because I haven't had a lot of pain. Has anyone had mature follicles and not had any pain or anything?
sorry, just worried.

Just a quick note while I'm at work. I called the nurse & will go in for a Beta tomorrow morning before work. She said I'll have the results later that day. Now that I'm planning to go, AF will probably show! Thanks for keeping all limbs crossed just a little bit longer!!! :)

Icierain: Don't worry about not feeling pain. My first cycle on clomid, I remember feeling like I was about to O, but no pain. It just felt like my ovaries were working :) Our bodies are all so different & react differently to meds, so don't worry! Tomorrow will be exciting! Let us know how it goes :)

Leighanne: I totally missed that you had a checkup today! How'd it go?

Marcyh: how was your retrieval? Hope you're doing well :)

well ladies todays appointment went well.  nice strong heartbeat of 150.  everything measured perfect.  the next appointment i have i have to do the one hour glucose test to make sure i dont have gestational diabetes.  i am not looking forward to drinking that nasty stuff.

mommyin09- the prog can delay your period and it wont start until you stop taking it but you need your hcg levels drawn before you stop it to make sure you are 100% not pregnant.
Blank
299260_tn?1304219705
Sounds like your appt went well! :)  I did a 5-hr glucose test years ago, which determined that I'm hypoglycemic & it wasn't really that bad.  They actually have different flavors you can choose from, but I won't lie and say they're any good! ;-)  If you have a choice, do the orange one.
I've been on progesterone since January, from O-AF & I've still gotten AF every cycle before I stop taking it.  This is just a different cycle.  You're right, though.  I don't want to keep taking it if I'm not pregnant, but I also don't want to stop it if there's a possibility that I could be, which is why I'm having the blood test tomorrow.

leighanne: sounds like everything is going well, congrats....about the test, I wish you the best, I think those drinks are nasty, I hear you can also eat pancakes w/ lots of syrup, not sure on that, maybe you can ask the nurse about it.

mommyin09: Hey, Like I said on the message, I am praying really hard for you!!

rachjas: I will aslo keep you in my prayers so that the test results turn out good!!

Arlotheslug: a BOY!!! how sweet!! the birthmom did choose you, right? and you are just waiting for a doctors ck up on her? My friend I hope all goes well and that either way or both ways you and dh get a very precious christmas present!!

arlotheslug- that is so exciting that you might be having a boy.  i will be asking you all sorts of questions since if you do adopt him, he will be 2 months older than mine.  i will be asking you things like tricks to not getting peed on when you change the diapers.

mommyin09- good luck with the bloodwork today.  i am going to have to ask if they have flavors for that test because i am a very picky person and will not drink just anything.  good luck to my doctors ofifice.

rachjas- good luck with the HSG today today.  make sure you take some motrin an hour before to hel if there is any cramping which would be minor anyways.  it should not hurt.  i was fine during and after mine. hopefully all is good and if not, they find out what it is and correct it ASAP.

Hi everyone!
Thank you.  Birth mom is still MIA - she did chose us, but for whatever reason can not be found.  The agency said that in her mind the could be made and we may not hear from her, if at all, until she shows up at the hospital.  So, we are still in limbo!  It would be really cool!

Leighanne:  I hope it is so!  BTW - there is this thing called the teepee peepee (I think) - use your imagination!  I am glad everything went well!

Icerian:  Mommyin09 is right .  . . everyone is different.  Good luck today!

Rachjas:  Happy  birthday to DH!  I know it can be stressful, but think of the HSG as the next steps to getting your BFP!  TTC women are the strongest I know!

Mommyin09:  Man, I am so excited for you!  Going in for the bloodtest!  I will keep everything crossed!

Kenyan:  Thank you!  We are trying to locate birthmom.  She is personally in a bit of transition.  I respect any decision she makes, I just hope the fact that she wrote us a letter is a good sign!   ;-)  How are you?  Busy bding I hope!

Happy Tuesday everyone!
I hope it is a great day and we all get loads of good news!

Good morning everyone!  I rarely make it 12dpo, so I'm excited, but still trying to not get my hopes up.  I really think that if I make it through the day, I'll take a test tomorrow.

mommyin09 - Again, good luck today!  I hope there's a good reason AF hasn't shown. :)

Arlotheslug - Aw, a boy!  How exciting!  No wonder dh is stressed, I think all guys dream of having a son.  When is the baby due again?  If the birthmom sent you a letter, then maybe they're right and you'll just a get a call out of the blue that you have a baby!  Oh, how I hope so!  Yes, I watched most of the Steeler game and I really didn't think they'd pull it off either.  That would've been pathetic if they lost to the "Bungles"  :)

icierain - I agree with mommyin09, everyone is different, so I'm sure you are doing just fine.  Good luck at your ultrasound!

leighanne - Great news!  I'm so glad you're appt went well and you still heard that strong heartbeat.  Arlotheslug is right, there is something called a teepee that you can use when changing diapers.  I saw those at a baby shower once and couldn't believe they sell something like that!

rachjas - I know how nervous I was for my HSG, but I'm sure you'll do fine.  Taking advil (ibuprofen) ahead of time can help with the cramping.  I hope everything looks perfect!

Good morning, ladies.  Well, I spotted a little last night, so didn't take my progesterone.  This morning I'm spotting, but it's brown, not red...  This has only happened to me once or twice before, but I think AF's on her way!  I'm thinking I shouldn't bother going in for the beta, but I'll see how things progress this morning.  I'm okay if she does show.  I've prepared myself & will be moving on to my HSG & possibly iui.  So, just moving forward!

luvkayln:  Welcome back !  I'm so glad AF finally showed for you :)

icierain:  Have fun today! :)  It's always so exciting to see your follies !!!  Let us know how it goes :)

Hey! I am doing fine, just starting my 2ww praying for my miracle!!  If you are waiting for the birthmom, and you might not hear from her until she delivers the little boy, how will you prepare for the arrival? Does the adoption agency requieres you to have all preparations needed for the arrival as a request for the adoption process? I bet it would be very exicting to get a phone call that your baby has arrived or about to! It might sound stressful, but it is very exciting!!!

Candie: Hey! 12dpo sounds great! I hope this is it for you!

Mommyin09: I hope AF stays away, but you do have a great plan, hopefuly you won't need it!

Rachjas: How are you feeling, how did it go??

icierian: OMG! Congrats to you & dh!!! :-) What a truly amazing surprise!

Well, I decided to go ahead with the beta since AF hasn't started. I should have the results later today. I didn't share this openly 'cause I was afraid I'd jinx myself, but I did get a faint positive on Thursday, which definitely got my hopes up since I've never had anything even remotely faint before; but it was followed by negatives each day thereafter. From everything I've read, it could possibly have been a chemical pregnancy?? Then I had a very small amount of red spotting late last night & a strange brown discharge today (sorry, tmi!) Anyway, that's why I decided to go ahead with the blood test. At least I'll get some insight :)

Icierain, Congrats again !!! You must be grinning from ear to ear ;-)

Hey everyone.  I thought I would check in and let you know my bad news. I am 8 weeks pregnant today, but when I went for my u/s the dr. said the baby didn't grow as much as he would have liked it to.  I have to wait a week and go back in to check if the baby grew anymore.  I have a 50% chance that the baby will not grow anymore.  My husband and I are devestated and are hoping for a miracle.  I just knew something was wrong from the begining and that's why I didn't want to even talk about the pregnancy with anyone.  I have spotting and slight cramping from day 1 and they have continued for the whole 8 weeks.

I'm just so nervous that I'm going to have to go through all this again...clomid, IUI's, 2ww

I'm really sad and just don't know how to keep myself together right now.  I took the rest of the week off because I'm so nervous I may miscarry and I'll be at work.

HSG - Left tube completely blocked. Probably due to scar tissue from ruptured appendix.
Right tube looked great!

I have CD 12 U/S Saturday.  I hope I am going to O on my right.... What all do they do/tell you at a CD 12  U/S?

She said we will talk about things more at my appt. Saturday.  She said if we don't get preggo soon (I don't know how long that means), surgery could be an option. She said, "we don't want to do that though!"  Why would she say that?!?!  Can surgery make it worse? I just hope the right side does the work this cycle..... : ( I am down and out... and it's my DH Bday.

I just got my results back from my Progesterone test.  It was 6.8 which is a whole point higher than last month(5.8), however I didnt O until that wed or thursday before and blood was drawn on Friday.  So there is still hope.  I have to call when ever AF shows so they can see where in the cycle they drew the blood.  So i guess it is just another waiting game.  Im really hoping that AF wont show and I wont have to do another round.

Congrats to all the BFPs!!!

If so, it makes you wonder how can they make you take clomid again, for 10 days w/ out knowing if you were Pregnant or not?!! Anyhow, I wish you the best, HAPPY AND HEALTHY 9 months!!!

rachjas: I am sorry abou the pain. Hopefully you will feel better soon. Lets hope the open tube does the trick! I am not sure what they are looking in the u/s, maybe for follicles. Have a great night celebrating dh's b-day!!!

mommyin09 - I'm so sorry you are having spotting.  Hopefully it won't get worse.  Let us know your results as soon as you can.  I'm about to leave work, but I'll be sure to check on you later.

Keyan - Thanks for the good wishes!  Good luck to you too as you start the 2ww!

icierain - Oh my goodness!!!!  Congratulations!  What an awesome surprise!  Was dh there with you?  Did you about fall off the table in shock?  :)  I am so happy for you!  How did that happen?  Well, obviously, I know how it "happened", but you just took clomid again, right?  Did you have an AF this cycle that really wasn't?  Wow, that is just awesome.

Rachjas - I'm so sorry you had such bad cramping and found out that one of your tubes is blocked.  On the bright side though, one tube is perfectly fine, so that's good news!  When you have your cd12 u/s, they should be able to see which side your follies are on.  As long as they are on your good side, then you'll be fine.  This probably explains why it's been taking you a little longer to conceive, but it's definitely still possible.  Good luck at your u/s!

Hi, all!  Thanks for the positive vibes, but the nurse called & my test was negative!  I guess I just had one of those weird cycles & who knows why I got a faint + on my hpt!?  I guess it was just a fluke.  I'm okay.  I've had time to digest the info & I'm just glad I know for sure, you know?  No more guessing, what if...  So, what can I do, other than to move forward & be positive about this next cycle?!  I'm gonna try iui for the first time, which is exciting to me :)  I go in for an u/s Sat., start clomid, then HSG next Wed.  The good thing, too, is that I'm already scheduled off work the week of 11/3, which is around the time I should O, so I won't have to explain "why" I'm taking off work (since my co-workers don't know we're trying).  Anyway, thanks again for all your support!  You guys are awesome :)  And on a positive note, there is still time to be pregnant by Christmas! ;)

Candie:  Please let us know if you test tomorrow !  Now it's my turn & I'm crossing all limbs for you :-)

Michelle:  It's good to hear from you, but I'm so sorry your baby is struggling to grow! :(  We will all pray for you & dh and hope your little one pulls through.  Stay strong & best wishes !!!

naf:  You might as well try an hpt.  What can you lose?  Look at icierain!  She was starting another round of clomid & was already pregnant!!!  Amazing ! :)  Let us know if you do & if not, let's hope AF stops playing games with you! :)

Jessie:  Yes, there is always hope!  Good luck :)

rachjas:  Oh, I'm not thrilled to hear how your HSG went ;)  I'll be going next Wed. & I was really hoping you'd say it was a piece of cake! :)  I'm sorry it was painful & I hope you're feeling better now !!!  Happy b-day to dh :)  As far as the u/s, Candie's right.  They'll check to see how many follies you have & how big they are & let's hope there are lots of big follies on your right side!!!  I think the doc probably just meant that surgery is not the first option.  I don't think it would make it worse, but I think they try everything before having to do surgery.  Just my opinion :)

icierain:  Big congrats once again :-)

I freak myself out over certain things, but if you made it through the pain, I'll just have to be a big girl & deal with it :)  Are you seeing an RE or your ob/gyn?  I did four cycles of clomid with my ob & then she referred me to an RE.  This will be my first cycle with him & our first attempt at iui.  I think usually you do 3 cycles of clomid & then move on to clomid with iui, but I snuck in an extra one while waiting for the consultation appt with my RE :)

rachjas- i have heard if you have a blockage it hurts alot not because of the procedures but because of the fluids trying to get through the block.  i am so sorry yours was painful.

Thanks for all the Congrats!!

Michelle - Hang in there, hopefully all will be okay maybe your peanut is just a slow starter. My mom said I was smaller than I should have been for about 4 months, but then I grew to I guess normal size and I'm healthy :O)

Keyan - We're not quite sure if from first round or before?? I didn't have the HCG trigger shot because they didn't see any mature follicles, so I think maybe I ovulated before the 1st U/S and they just didn't know it. So I guess I didn't need the shot after all :O)     I wonder if maybe the 1st round helped my follicle grow and release before the Ultrasound?? guess we'll find out more when we see doctor officially.

Candie - No, DH wasn't there today because we thought it was just to look for follies.
My sister in law went with me. We were both surprised. I was teary eyed, I wasn't expecting that news. It is so Wonderful. Hopefully you all will get great news soon too.

Oh, forgot to tell you. I have another U/S in 2 weeks.
I have been very nauseous and I thought it was from the Clomid...
Good Luck all !
I did ask Doctor if he though it would hurt the baby since I took another round of Clomid since we didn't know I was pregnant and he didn't think it would hurt anything.
That was very relieving.

It is funny, I prayed for mature follies and got a much better surprise
God is so Great!!
Another funny thing, I had to take a pregnancy test when I got home just to help it sink in more.. LOL
Even though we had an U/S pic of our little peanut, the test was just nice to see also.
:O)

Icierain1: Congrats once again!! It is funny that you took a pregnancy test, I think that after seeing so many BFNs for so long I would also do the same :o)

Mommyin09: I am sorry about CRAZY AF, and the BFN! Hopefuly IUI is what you need to get pregnant before Christmas!!

Candie: I hope today is the day for BFP!!!

Not much going on here, besides that I have my OBGYN appt today and that I have a bad sinus allergy.

Good day to all!!

Hi guys!
Happy Wednesday.  Boy it was busy overnight!  DH is really upset about the adoption stuff.  He broke down last night - he really wants to be a dad!  I think I am trying to protect myself - I went for a walk with a good friend who has been TTCing for 4+ years (and will soon be adopting) - it was good.

Michelle:  You and your bean are in my thoughts.  I will send karma.

Candie:  I am hoping - a BFP would be awesome!  I have to root for my fellow Steelers Fan!  (and friend) ;-)

Kenyan:  The agency does not require that we have everything set up.  We have collected some things from friends, but nothing is set up - did not want to jinx us - so I guess we will figure it out.  Also, my boss knows - but I have a bunch of long term projects - I will have to figure that out.  But, that would be a fun kind of crazy to have.  Good luck with your TWW.

Icerian:  Congratulations again.  That is the best kind of surprise!  I am very happy for you.

Rachjas:  Again, I am so sorry it hurt.  I do think Leighanne is right and the blockage may have had something to do with it.  I don't think the Dr. meant it would make it worse - but I agree VERY poor choice of words.  I find that sometimes the physicians may just not get how sensitive and "nonmedical" they should be through this process.  They may just not get it.

Mommyin09:  I am really sorry.  I was hoping for you.  BUT, as you say, the IUI is a really cool process.  A friend once told me - you see the follies and you know you are holding them to create your little bean.  The HSG is not that bad . . . (famous last words).  Take some IBU about an hour before - you should be ok.   Very exciting IUI!

Naf:  A hpt may be a good idea to break the wait . . .

Happy Wednesday!

Michelle- I'm so sorry to hear about your little one! Have faith sweetie! I'm sorry you have to go through this, and I completely understand you not wanting to have to go through all this ttc again! I've had a m/c and a still born, and I struggle everyday with the fact that I don't have either one of them here with me and I have to go through ttc all over again! It's hard, but we have to believe that God has a plan for us and He will bless us again! But you still have your baby, so be thankful and pray, pray, pray that your sweet little baby sticks! I'll be thinking of you, and praying for you sweetie! I really hope it all works out! Stay strong!

Icerian- Congrats on your big suprise! That's how i found out i was pregnant with kayln as well, except we did the hsg and everyone started freaking out because my uterus was too big! An u/s and hpt showed it was because my sweet kayln was there! :)  It was the best news I ever got! So congrats to you and your dh! :)

Candie- I hope af stays away for you! I hope this is your month sweetie!!! :)

Mommyin09- I sent you a message, but again i'm so sorry to hear about your bfn! It breaks my heart, i really thought this was it for you! But you're moving on and feeling positive! And like you said, at least you know now instead of thinking " what if?" all the time! Good luck with your hsg and your iui to follow! I'm glad we're so close in our cycles again finally! It's nice to have a true cycle  buddy again!!

Stacey- How are you doing? I'm back, and now you're mia! :(  I've been thinking about you, hoping you are doing good! I hope af stays away for you! Is it due today? Maybe this will be your and Candie's month! ;) Good luck!

Arlotheslug- I'm so sorry! This much just be such a struggling time for you and dh! God will take care of both of you! You will be parents soon, one way or another! I'll be thinking of you and your dh. I really hope everything works out! My prayers are with you both!

Good luck to everyone still in their 2ww!

Arlotheslug:  Sorry dh is having a hard time ! :(  I really hope this one works out for you two.  You absolutely deserve it :)

icierain:  That is funny that you took another hpt!!! :)  I had thought about you having taken the second round of clomid, too &  I'm glad the doctor relieved your fears.

Candie & Stacey:  I'm crossing everything & sending all the baby dust & prayers possible !!!

You are all so sweet.  Thank you so much for your good wishes.  I did test this morning, but it was a BFN. :(  I'm disappointed, but not completely discouraged yet.  My temps are still way up.  Since i wasn't using OPK's this time, maybe I just O'd later than I thought.

mommyin09 - I am so sorry that you ended up with a BFN.  Onto next cycle and a much better outcome!  :)

icierain - I'm glad the doctor thinks you'll be just fine.  That is so funny about the hpt - I would've done the exact same thing!!!  After waiting to see 2 lines for so long, that has to be the greatest sight in the world (after your u/s of course)!  :)

Keyan - Good luck at the OBGYN today.

Arlotheslug - I am so sorry about DH.  I know how it is.  It's disappointing enough when you aren't getting pregnant, but to see your husband sad and disappointed is just about the worst feeling in the world.  Mine always tries to be strong, but every once in a while he lets his true feelings break through.  Seeing him wanting to be a father with tears in his eyes just makes my heart break right in two.  I'm glad you have a close friend that can relate.

luvkayln - It's good to have you back my friend.  :)

rachjas - I think if Clomid doesn't work on it's own, you could have a trigger shot to help ensure ovulation.  Also, I think the next step would then be to try something else, like Femara, or use Clomid along with IUI.

Michelle - So so sorry my dear.  What awful news to hear but you still have your baby and I really hope they start to grow grow grow.  This process can be so difficult especially with what you are going through.  I hope and pray it will all work out for you and as Luvkayln said, have faith.

Candie - Glad to hear that your temps are still up!  As long as they are up and af is away there is lot's of hope! Good luck to you.

Icierain - Congrats!!  Hope all is good and healthy with you both.

Luvkayln - There you are my friend!  Good to hear from you :)  I hope you have a nice cycle this time that ends in a bfp!

Arlotheslug - So much hope for you and dh but yes, our men seem to break down every once in a while.  It's so difficult and they try to stay strong.  Just a matter of time for you guys though...it really is.

Mommyin09 - So sorry about your BFN. :(  I'm not worried about you though.  You have a great plan and it's going to get started this cycle.

Just to let everyone know I won't be around a lot for the next week or so. I'll try to pop in when I can but we are having house guests and John's mom is having a mastectomy on Tuesday (breast cancer) so we will be busy helping his parents through this.  We just hope the cancer has not spread - unfortuantely she is a heavy smoker and continues to smoke.  So hard to understand.  But if you could say a little prayer for her, I would really appreciate it :)

Let's get some more BFPs!  I'll try to visit and update on me but as I have said I am expecting af and feel her on her way. I'm cool with it and just want to get on with the IVF!

Stacey: I am sorry about your MIL, I hope all turns out well! I will keep her in my prayers!

Candie: Sorry about BFN, you are early, hopefuly AF stays away!!

Arlotheslug: I was talking to my DH about the adoption process you are going thru, and we were thinking the same, that it would be a crazy but exciting situation, to have to get everything ready in a few days when the agency calls you that your son has arrived!! I think we are going to wait a few months after the laparascopy (If I ever get to have it done) and if nothing happens we most likely start the adoption process, Either way, we always wanted to adopt, so who knows!

Great day to everyone!

Candie:  We try so hard to guard our hearts & not get our hopes up, but I'm definitely pulling for you, my friend !!! ;)

Luvkayln:  I'm so glad my biggest cheerleader is back ! :-)

Good morning all! Sorry I have been kinda MIA.  Work has been crazy and I have had alot on my mind.  I do have a quick question though, last cycle was 31 days and for this cycle, 31 days will be on Monday.  Is there any chance if I were to test tomorrow morning I could get an acurate result?  The girls in the office and I are leaving tomorrow to go to hot springs for a mini vacation and they plan on drinking both nights.  They basically told me yesterday that I was going to partake in the festivities and I know they cant make me but they dont know we are ttc.  I just dont want to take any chances. Any comments or thoughts would be great.  I do have a First Responce early detection HPT.  Im just worried I guess.

Hope you all have a great day!

i have been MIA myself for a few days, been busy with school, and i believe we are moving...went in and talked to the OB nurse at the local hospital the other day to get a tour of that maternity ward, just in case we don't move.  and unbelievably i knew her, as she was a health dept maternal support nurse several years ago at my local health dept...anyhow we got talking and i told her about my hernia and age, and other factors with this pregnancy....nothing is going on yet, but ya never know....am trying to prepare myself "just in case" something were to go wrong.  but anyhow she said that chances are the OB will want to see me every 2-3 weeks even at this early stage and that once i hit the 4-5 month mark i will probably be put on bed rest.  this is because they dont want any stress or pressure on the hernia.  i guess with the size there is a possiblity that the uterus can actually poke out of the opening instead of just the intestines....weird.  anyhow she also told me that there is a 75% chance that the doc will tell me NO WORK for entire pregnancy....but i go in to OB doc on tues, and then i can give ya a definate number of weeks...although i already know that i will be 8 weeks on saturday.  this is sooo amazing, it has been a month since i got my bfp already.

jessie, i got a bfp 7 days before af was due....it was very very faint, but it was there.  so if you were to take a test it is possible to get a accurate result BUT....there is a off chance that there is late implantation or whatever that will prevent you from getting that bfp even at 4 days before af.  i was lucky cause i apparently implanted early or on time...my first bfp was 9dpo and then i got a DEFINATE BFP on 11dpo....so i am not sure.  anyhow good luck and hope that it IS a BFP.

Arlotheslug, i can not even imagine what you and dh are going through, i hope that the birthmom can get through her "transition" and let you know something at least a short time before baby comes.  when is her due date?

Michelle.  i will be praying for ya hun, i know how hard it can be, but have faith that your little bean is stubborn and that he will stay stuck and start growing

Icierain, congrats, what awesome news to find out when you are going to check on some ttc stuff and find that you have already conceived.

mommyin09,luvkayln, stacey and everyone else.....if af has arrived or you have gotten a bfn i am so so so sorry.  if af is still hiding i hope she stays hiding for the next 9 months...and regardless of outcomes of this cycle.  know you are in my thoughts and heart for the coming cycle and that you will all have bfp's for christmas if not thanksgiving...although i would LOVE to see you all will a BFP for thanksgiving...lol

hugs and luv and ssbd to all ttcing....and tons of pregnancy dust to those who have conceived.....and i send Michelle out a mega ton of pregnancy dust to keep that little bean growing.

Good morning everyone
Thank you for all of your kind words and support.  It means a lot.  But, there are many other women on this forum who need the prayers!  I just need to be more patient ;-)

Stacey:  my prayers are with you and your MIL.  I hope you are ok duing this difficult time.

Joyce:  I am glad you were able to see a nurse.  It sounds like she gave you some good insight.

Jessie:  Water looks like vodka ;-)  No one needs to know.

Luvkayln:  Welcome back!  It is good to hear from you!

Michelle:  I am keeping you in my prayers.

Kenyan:  I think we are very similar in that respect - we always knew we would adopt and we hope and pray we will also get pregnant.  I warn you, this adoption process is almost as hard (different) as TTC - in waiting for birthmom, I feel like I am waiting for that BFP.  Trying to keep the spirits high ;-)  How did the OBGYN go?

Candie:  Thank you for your kind words.  It means a lot.

Mommyin09:  Good luck today!  Remember Ibuprofin!

Happy Thursday.  I will probably not be on again today - many meetings.  I hope everyone has a great day!

Jessie:  I agree with Arlotheslug & remember, I got a faint positive at 14dpo & it turned out to be wrong.  You could get a false bfn.  I say, why risk it?!  Did you end up doing your flu shot?  I just did mine yesterday & my arm is SO sore.  It feels like I was punched!

Arlotheslug:  My HSG isn't till next week, but thanks for your well wishes ! :)

Joyce:  Yes, it's good you spoke to the nurse & got lots of info.  You're not working; right?  So, at least you'll be home & relaxed if the hernia acts up.  Good luck Tuesday.

Good morning!

My appt yesterday, went well a bit confusing, but well, we talked about LUFS since I did show a cyst 3cm, but he's one of those docs that don't beleive it is a true syndrome, so didn't take me seriously on "not really ovulating" as a TTC issue. I had my referral for the laparascopy if I don't get my BFP soon! My temps are rising good, I am hoping it is + sign!

Arlotheslug: I can only imagine the struggle of TTC and the waiting game for a BFP and/or the call about the B-day of the adoptive child! You guys are strong! I don't know how we would handle it! Hopefuly soon all will be worth it!

Candie & Stacey: I am keeping everything cross for a BFP!

Joyce: The hernia sounds like something you should be careful with, I mean w/ the poking it out thing you mention, I am glad you got some insight and hopefuly at the doc appt you are going to be able to answer all the questions you may have.

Mommyin09: Again, I am sorry about crazy AF :( But I am happy that you finally get to start a new cycle. About the HSG, when I had mine done, what really hurt me was when they were placing then "thing" to put the liquid inside, but after that, just minor af type of cramps is how I would describe the pain, I didn't take anything for the pain before or after, and all cramps were gone within the first hour of the procedure. Don't worry, I know you are brave woman just like I am ;o) LOL!!

Jessie: At 9dpo you could get a false NEGATIVE, but a True POSITIVE!! Good luck to you!

Michelle: I am keeping you in my prayers! When do you go in for an u/s again?

Naf: did you take the HPT?!

Keyan - That's great that your temps are staying up!  Sorry that your doctor wasn't very supportive, but it's good you got the lap referral just in case.  But hopefully you won't have to worry about it!  :)  Thanks for your good wishes.

Stacey - Thanks for the kind words.  I am so very sorry to hear about your MIL.  We've dealt with a couple family members with cancer and it is such a terrible disease.  I hope that it hasn't spread and she will make a full recovery.  My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year and had surgery and they were able to remove it all and he still has a clean bill of health, so it's definitely possible!  Take care and know that we're all pulling for her.  I know you're looking ahead to IVF, but I'm still hoping this cycle will bring you a BFP yet!

Michelle - You can count on us all to keep up the prayers for you, your husband, and your sweet baby.  Take care.

Jessie - You could try to test, but at this point, I don't think a negative would put you in the clear.  We all know what it's like to be in these situations, feeling like you always have to be so careful and put your life on hold for a possible pregnancy.  I hope you can find a way to dupe them!

Arlotheslug - You're most welcome.  That's what friends are for!  :)

Joyce - I hope things work out for you.  Take care of yourself.

well we decided we are not moving so i stopped at local OB to make a appt.  and they got me in within 45 minutes to have a look.  they just took a look inside and then did a transvaginal ultrasound.  he said it looks like the placenta is a little low, but that shouldnt be a problem since i am getting a c-section anyhow.  just have to watch for spotting.  i posted a pic of the ultrasound...i am officially 8 weeks according to the ultrasound and my next appt is Nov 18 for a full appt. and probably a 12 week scan.

Joyce:  Yay how exciting! I cant wait to be where you are!

I forgot to mention that they said I will be on 150mg of clomid next cycle if this one isnt it.  Isnt that a lil high?  Anyone taken that amount?  Just curious.  I am going to test tomorrow and I have decided I am not going to drink even if it is negative.  I dont want to take a chance and Im really not into drinking.  I told them today I might have like a glass of red whine but that would be all.  Its only 4 of us going now so I dont think it will be too bad.  Im just excited for a break.  I probably wont be on at all this weekend until late Sunday when we get back but I am going to write down my temps while I am away and then update everything when I get back.

Oh DH was holding my boss's little girl(9months) and Olivia about came unglued.  She was crying and giving everyone mean looks.  She didnt want anything to do with her daddy after that.  Its kinda weird bc when he held a baby boy she could care less.  Heaven help us if we ever have a girl!

Arlotheslug:  Sounds like a fun weekend !  :)

mommyin09 - Thanks for thinking of me!  I'm still holding out hope.  Good luck with your u/s tomorrow!

Arlotheslug - Thanks!  Have fun this weekend!  I'm not really into halloween either - definitely not creative enough to come up with cool costumes!

Jessie - Wow, a faint line.  I sure hope it's the real thing!  Looks like you are going to have to behave yourself this weekend!  :)  Keep us posted.  That is so cute about Olivia - such a daddy's girl. :)

leighanne - I'm so sorry you are having such a tough time at work.  That's such a shame that their programs have to be cut.  I hope it gets figured out.

Vortex - Thanks for the good wishes, still no AF, so we shall see!  Good luck at the doctors!

Joyce - Wow, that's great that they got you in for a quick exam.  I checked out your picture and it is adorable!  I'm sure you're very relieved to see your little one.

rachjas - Good luck at your u/s

thank you all, i am very relieved that everything looks good so far, i will be seeing a general surgeon probably throughout my pregnancy as well to keep watch on the hernia...i see her on Nov 11 and my next OB appt is Nov 18....so i am glad that things are going along....i picked up a package of newborn diapers yesterday, am wondering if i will need more than 40 of the NEWBORN size or if one pack of 40 should be enough, and purchase size 1 after that.  anyhow i have 7 months to go through and get all of the stuff we need.
also we are going through a "earn while you learn" program, through womans pregnancy centers....where you go in each week and learn new things and collect "points" so that you can "purchase" baby stuff, cribs, carseats,ect.... it sounds like a awesome program.

Arlotheslug: Hey! Hope you have fun this weekend!! About my doc and the second opinion, I will get a second opinion cz I will be going to a different OBGYN for the lap, my regular doc won't do it, he only does them as exploratory and we think mine will be used to "clean" the endo besides the "exploring". But Thanks I agree, I am at the point were I think the relatioship patiente-doctor, has gone to another level, don't know if for good or bad!!!

Candie & Stacey: I hope I will be seeing soon a BFP from both of you!!!

Jessie: I hope is a TRUE BFP!!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

TTC is a very stressfull situation and we live in a constant emotional rollercoster. You know we are here for you if you need to vent or just "talk". Like mommyin09 said, 9 days is enough to get all on track, sometimes husbands get emotional like we do about this TTC issues and they just don't know how to react, maybe is their way of protection against the failure.

Hopefully you will feel better very soon!

mommyin09- Good luck tomorrow!! have a great night!

hi all sorry I've been MIA but I decided call call my gyno on thurs but he had the day off and also on fri so I was pretty pissed off cause he said to call. Why do doctors do that. Well anyway I've got an app on Monday at 930am so I'll see what he has to say AF is still not here I did a hpt and it came back neg which I knew cause I don't feel anything. I was thinking that maybe the tablets that I'm taking"premarin" have delayed this or I'm really into the early stages of menopause.

Sorry I just feel dishearted at the moment but still trying to be positive.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend :)

I am back from  my U/S.  Bad news... on my bad side. I had one follie that was 17.6 but we think that may be a cyst left over from last cycle.  I also had one around 12 and then maybe one or two even smaller on that side.  On my good side, I had about 5 or 6 small follies.  It seems as though I am going to O out of my bad side the cycle.  She said the 50mg didn't over stimulate.. so if I do not get pregnant this month (which is highly unlikely) I will go up to 100mg.  Just great... it don't seem like I have that many follies, nor are they big... plus the ones that are bigger in size are on the wrong side.  I will continue to use the monitor this month and temp.  I doubt I use OPK.  They can be expensice! What do you all think? If Af arrives, I have to go in for a basline U/S on CD 1-3, 100 mg Clomid, CD 12 U/S.

I'm back from my u/s.  Everything's fine. I saw my doc's partner & he said I have one 10mm follie left over from last cycle, but that it's okay to start clomid.  (I've never had that happen before)  I got my prescription for 100mg & will start taking them tomorrow.   HSG is Wed. & then we have a follow-up consultation with my doc on Friday to go over "options", although we're set to do iui unless he feels differently.  I have another u/s scheduled for 11/4 to check my follies, but will go in earlier if I get a +opk.  That's my gameplan :)

rachjas:  I'm sorry your follies aren't cooperating! :(  I know it s u c k s, but hang in there!!!  If it doesn't happen this cycle, at least you're well on your way to finding the right solution.  Maybe the 100mg will do the trick!  Is this your first cycle on clomid?  I started on 50 & now I'm on 100.  (Starting them again tomorrow)  Did your doc tell you what size the follies are on your right?  I'll still keep my fingers crossed for you, but if it doesn't happen, don't lose hope.  Next month will be your right side's turn & with 100mg, it could be a really good month! :-)

Naf:  Gosh, what a pain in the butt (your long cycle & your doc telling you to call when he's not gonna be there!)  Ugh!  What are you taking the premarin for?  I'm not familiar with it, but perhaps you're right & that is delaying AF?!  It's good you have an appt on Monday.  At least then you'll get some answers & a game plan.

HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
A quick note before I go out for the day.

Candie and Stacey:  Wow .  . . could it be?

Rachjas:  I am sorry about your news.  Well, at least you know you have a reaction - which is good and half the battle!

Naf:  I hope your appt goes well tomorrow.  I don't know about Premerin.  Have you tried Provera?

Guesito:  I am glad things got cleared up.  I know it is very emotional for me when I am on all the IVF drugs. . . . TTC is an emotional thing . . . boys show it differently.

Mommyin09:  Wow, I am glad everything went well.  That is odd the leftover . . . . hmmm  Someone actually did get the costume!

Keyan:  You are 100% correct.  I think sometimes boys react differently too . . . they love us, but are wired a bit differently! ;-)  It was an ok weekend.  The party last night had a lot of moms who only talked about day care - something I have nothing to add - it can be a bit isolating, esp. when you are feeling down which I was . . . ah well.  We left early.  Ladies night was a lot of fun! I figure that is my last night for wine since I will be starting the drugs soon!

Candie:  It is good to know I am not alone on this Haloween thing.  Our friends always have really creative costumes . .. . I wore a black boa.

Rachjas:  I think the idea is that your ovaries generally rotate, but it's not a definite.  Arlotheslug is right, though.  You're responding to the clomid, so if this cycle doesn't work out, 100mg very well could :)  As far as the opk's, yes, I do use them.  I know it can get expensive, but my doc wants me coming in the day after I get a +, plus I just can't not know! :)

Arlotheslug:  Sorry about the party.  Isolating is the perfect word! :( Maybe you'll be joining in when the Christmas party rolls around ;-)

I lost the baby...it stopped growing somewhere after 7 weeks.  I had to go for a horrible high tech ultrasound to see what happened.  The ultrasound was over an hour.  I have to go back tomorrow and see if I have to have a D&C, hopefully I don't.  The dr. said we can start tryng again next cycle since my body is still very fertile and used to being pregnant.  I'm very sad...it took 2 years to get pregnant only to have it end 4 weeks later :-(

Hello everyone!  I am back from my trip.  It was nice to get away for the weekend but I missed my babies and DH terribly.

I got the clear blue digital tests and took one at work on friday before we left and it was negative.  But I did take the other one and a first responce Saturday morning and they were both positive! I think my heart dropped when I read the word "pregnant."  I was so excited but had to keep my mouth shut all weekend.  I sent DH a message to tell him but that was all I could do.  Im trying not to get my hopes up yet.  Im calling my dr first thing in the morning to see when I can get in and Im going to take another test in the morning so DH can see it.

When DH picked me up he told me he did see the 2nd line on the test I took Friday morning but he didnt want me to get my hopes up so he said no.  Im really nervous and dont know what to do with myself.  I think I have a cold too... no fun there.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

michelleinhawaii- i am so sorry.  there are no words to express how sorry i am.  your story sounds so simolar to mine.  i did have 2 d and c's done so if you have any questions if you do opt for it, please ask.  Again hang in there and keep your head up.  you know now you can get pregnant and sometimes all it akes is for your body to do it once and it will do it again quickly.

Jessie- congrats.  those digital tests are just aswome and seeing that word is heart dropping.  call your doctor and have it confirmed:)

Michelle- I'm so sorry about your loss! I know what you're going through. I had a d & C with my first pregnancy, any my baby stopped growing at 8 weeks. I'm so sorry! I know how heartbreaking it is to try for so long, only to have it taken away from you. With my first, I was 8 weeks when i found out, but i lost the baby exactly 2 weeks later. It was horrible! And then I got pregnant a year later, only to lose my daughter at 36 weeks this past december! That's great news you'll be able to try so soon, but please take time to mentally and physically heal. I hate that my daughter will be 1 year in less than 2 months, and i'm still not pregnant! Just have faith, it'll happen for us. I'll be thinking about you sweetie! (( Hugs)).

Jessie- Congrats on your +ve! I know you are just thrilled! Let us know when your appointment is! :)

Candie & Stacey- STILL no af!!! Woo-hoo! I really hope this is it for you two!!!! Keep us posted, i'm really pulling for 2 BFP's with your names' written all over them! :)

Rachjus- I just wanted to let you know that you don't always alternate. I asked my RE the same thing, it just depends which side wins the "race." :)

Mommyin09- Glad to hear your appointment went well, even with that silly follie left over! I'm glad iui is in store for you this cycle! I bet you are sooo excited, especially with your hsg just before your O! I hope it "cleans" up your tubes, and this next cycle will be a successful one!!!!!! :)

To all: I'll let you know how many follies I have on Tuesday. I'm praying for many mature follies!

DH made me take another test before he left for work so he could see it.  it was BFP!  I think the test line showed before the control line had a chance.  Im going to call my dr office as soon as they open so I can get in and get it confirmed.  I will keep yall updated!

Should I still be tracking my temps?  I did it this morning but I dont think it was accurate bc Olivia decided it was time to get up at 2 and then I really didnt go back to sleep bc I kept coughing and my nose was running. I wonder what I can take for it.

I hope everyone has a great Monday!
