Lining With Clomid

My RE told me this week that he strongly believes, even though their is no scientific data behind it, that Clomid helps the lining stay where it should be to carry a baby.  Has anyone heard this before?  He believes that I miscarried because my lining wasn't where it needed to be.

My RE will only do Clomid cycles 3-4 times.  After that, he feels it can only be a negative thing by thinning the lining.

I just wanted to add one more comment.  The injectable meds are supposed to increase your estrogen and can help thicken the lining.

I always heard it can have a negative affect on the lining because it suppresses estrogen.  When I was on clomid my lining was thin and RE had to give me estrogen shots to try to thicken it up.  On my last IUI, he didn't even give me clomid because of the negative impact on the lining.

I'm no dr but this is just what my experience was.  Good luck to you.

I also have never heard that before.  Clomid did thin my lining so much that we had to call that cycle off.
