Long Cycles

Okay, this makes life really suck but my husband is Active Duty Army and deploying in December.  He is stationed in Texas right now and I am living in Michigan.  I know I get to see him once (or possibly but unlikely, twice) before he leaves in late October for a few days.  PLUS I have long cycles (36-41 days) and have no clue when I ovulate!  We really want a baby but everything is making it near impossible.  If this time doesn't work there is his 10 day R&R halfway through his deployment and once he gets back... in DECEMBER 2009!  Ugh.

Has anyone else had something this frustrating happen?
I mean we are trying for a baby but haven't even gotten to know about any health obstacles!  I could be waiting here assuming I WILL get pregnant when he comes back only to find out something else is in the way.  And this is something I can't do anything about... medically I could take fertility drugs if I was having a problem or we could see special doctors if he had a low sperm count... hundreds of miles is the best unwanted birth control known to man...

i read similar to ur suffering,,in a hospitals website in India,,Both did not get time,,and finally he was able to send the semen sample, and girl got iuied and got pregnant,,,i know and can understand ur situation,,my respect to ur sincere army officer,,good serviceman,,,may God make some wonder on u:) lots of love:)

I'm sorry you're feeling so down right now, but even if it doesn't work out right now, you still have lots of time when he gets back. You're only 18, so try not to worry too much about it. It will happen for you! Take care!
